Bugati = 242mph

FYI: I got cheevo last night for going over 240mph ( 242mph to be exact ) on the LeMans straightaway on a Quick Race with a Bugati, It was hauling the mail , that thing is crazy fast I could barely keep it on the road, very fun though.

No it was just the stock model that you can choose from on the Quick race, I got one uploaded from Forza 3 to Forza 4 but I haven't had a chance to play ( tune ) with it yet.

I looked at the upgrades for it, looks like its capable of at least 1350hp.

I got to 258 before I ran out of road, but I chose the Veyron Sport. No tuning.

It was the 2nd Lemans track that I used. BTW, I guess I shouldn't say I ran out of road, but the first bend was coming, and I knew there wasn't a good ending to me taking that turn at 258 mph.

But it didn't record my top speed. I assume that is because I didn't finish the lap. I had to leave to work.

That was cool, I saw my speed once thinking that was it but it might have been faster as I was driving not looking so much at the speedo but the road at any rate I know now that I can go faster.

The regular Veyron hit like 271 mph in GT5 on the same track, so either the GT5 version is off, was tuned, or we should have no problem getting more speed out of the SS.

i got my achievement doing 243 in a 240SX. that thing is SICK when tuned. Haven't dialed in the handling yet but man does it have guts. R34 engine fully tuned puts out over 1,000 hp in a car weighing well under 3k lbs

What's that weird noise that started at about 210mph and got louder and louder? It sounded like something rattling slightly! I love how fast it looks, it definitely seems to 'look' faster than GT5.

Man i love when the camera shakes, its like Michael J Fox in a rocket powered shopping cart with a camcorder, following you. I feel a online race coming on, who wants to do two Bugati SS's with me starting from different ends and meeting some place in the middle at 264mph?

I do like a good bit of atmospheric camera wobble. It's good to see that games are finally doing something about providing a nice sense of speed without resorting to speed blur that always ends up looking stupid.

i know this is a Forza forum now, so I don't really have to worry about starting a flame war, but did anyone else think that GT5 video looks and sounds epically pants after the Forza one? Also, is the speed thing car specific, IE if you get one of the starter cars to within 10% of it's top speed does it do the fancy camera stuff? Or is it just 200+?
