Leroy-MIVC-
Late night curiosity got the best of me and over 100k CR later, I'm stuck with a GNX thats nearly useless. *Note engine HAS been overhauled
My problems areas are as follows:
  • Car WILL NOT complete a turn
  • 5 speed gearbox from tuning shop has its top speed around 134-136MPH
  • Acceleration is horrible for its BHP/BTQ

My Mods are as follows:
  • weight reduction stage 1
  • ECU Tuning
  • Stage 2 Engine Tuning
  • Sports Intake Manifold
  • Racing air FIlter
  • Sport Exhaust Manifold
  • Titanium Racing Exhaust
  • Sports Catalytic converter
  • LOW RPM (1) Range Turbo Kit
  • Close Ration 5 Speed Transmission
  • Twin plate clutch
  • semi racing flywheel
  • carbon drive shaft
  • height adjustable sports kit suspension
    • Ride Height -4 Front -4 Rear
    • Spring Rate: 4.5 Front 3.9 rear
    • Dampers 3 Front and Rear
    • Camber 0 Front and Rear
  • Brakes 9 front 8 rear
  • Soft Sports Tires

My current figures are 536HP@5300RPM and 645LBFT of torque at 3800RPM, and the car weighs 1440KG

ANY tuning help would be most appreciated!

Yeah they're my settings, and I'd appreciate if you didn't post them, especially without a link or reference. Not to mention, that's for a GNX with almost 100hp less, so I'd be surprised if it works.

Let me start off with... I own an 87 Buick Grand National thats had some upgrades(brakes, full suspension, alky injection, rear tubbed for bigger tires, pro street racing setup, blah blah blah). And I couldn't wait to get the GNX. Once I picked it up, I found your setup online and tired it. (I also maxed it out with every upgrade. Its at 580HP.) Same thing. Won't turn. Went back to stock settings on everything and its a bit better. I will try some new things out and let you know what I found.

Well, ditch the close ratio and buy the full customizable tranny, first of all. The non adjustable ones are worthless and in many case worse than stock trans.

Edit: Nevermind, this is a month old thread and he probably figured it out already.

Here's what I'm at with only 20 mins of playing around. Still needs lots of work, but better than above.

Drivetrain: (front/rear)
(Left this at stock setting)

Suspension: (front/rear)
Ride Height: -20/-15
Spring Rates (kgf/mm): 5.9/5.3
Dampers Extension: 5/5
Dampers Compression: 4/4
Anti-Roll Bars: 1/3
Camber: 1.5/0.5
Toe: -0.07/+0.02

Brake Balance (front/rear): 5/5

I recomend Lion's Den, their setup for the GNX works really well, my GNX changed from understeering deathtrap, to a beast.

Yeah, Lion's Den know what they are doing for sure, and if I may chime in fully customizable is where it is at, because my experiance with the car and it's power and tq numbers, long gears help tremendously, mainly because the car has the balls to back it up

Yes Lion's Den has a great setup and you are correct with the long gears.Buy racing soft tires.
