building a sitdown cabinet/desk

Happy to have found this forum. I have learned a great deal from
just reading.

I am a hobbyist woodworker and am looking to rebuild my computer/gaming desk.
Here are some snapshots of what I was looking to create. I already have purchased a bmw car seat.
It will be mounted on a torsion box to raise it slightly.
The desk top is two levels and will be secured to the wall studs with simple cleats.

Let me know what you think. Any comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Its not a dedicated driving cabinet and will also function as a computer desk
and for playing first person shooters.

Here is a snapshot of the seat I purchased. It was pulled from a clean 325 which was rear ended. Very comfy. Reclines, slides, and also has height adjustment. 30 dollars.

torsion box construction.
This is the torsion box. I't about 3 inches thick. 19 inches wide and 48 inches long.
Simple glue and nail construction. 5 stringers make it extremly rigid.
This platform will marry the seat and pedals.

Here is the seat box. It raises the seat to a more comfortable position. It will also serve as a subwoofer box.

I _think_ you should focus on getting more walls put up - with this "Global Warming" some of us are experiencing, you might get very cold in that ;-)
