Building The Lotus Exige S 2006

Watching Top Gear last night 21/05/06, they showed the new Lotus Exige S, so I decided to make it in GT4 using the Elise 111S as the base car.

Here is what I did

Lotus Elise 111S (buy from Lotus garage)
Oil Change
Racing Exhaust
Stage 1 NA tune
Port polish
Engine Balance
Racing Chip
Wing

---

My settings are

Downforce (all are read F/R)

25/30
No Aids
Ballast Weight +130Kg

I kept the standard Tires, and added downforce but the rest of the car is as standard.

---

My car setting Vs the official settings

The Offical spec of the car is 215hp mine came to 214hp, the official weight is 935Kg mine is the same, the tires that come with the official car are semi slick (acoording to TG) but I stuck with the Sports medium in GT4, Not sure if to put Racing Super hard or Racing Hard tires on and im not sure about how much Downforce to have.

It posts a 8'15.*** around the ring and a 1'03.*** around Tsukuba. top speed is around the 150mph mark just like the official car, but the 0-60 time is about 5.5secs slower by half a second.

If you have any Ideas of how I can make it closer to the real car then please let me know.

I did something similar when my step bro got his 240R

I used the same Elise as you as a base car, i think i got 246bhp out of it (compared to the official 243bhp) None of the available wings look close enough to the Exige's so i just used the most basic black wing available. There are some nice 5-spoke alloys available in the 'used' wheels section that are very similar to the 240R items. I've got the softest 'sports' tyres on mine which i think are nearest the standard items.

Doesn't the Exige 'S' have Lotus's new traction control on it? - perhaps having your traction set to level one will be closest.

The Exige S has a supercharger if I'm not mistaken. If so, you should fit one, cause N/A-tuning will probably give you the same hp, but a totally different torque curve.

Yes it dose have a SC, but the options on GT4 dont allow it, so instead of a turbo, I chose NA tuning, do any of the other Elises allow SCing?

Will have to look into the SCer but its pretty close otherwise.

Here is my car in GT4 if your interested.

For my Exige S replica, I used a basic '00 Elise, since I wanted a color matched roof. No supercharger is available, so I went with a Stage 1 turbo and a few other mods. It drove very well, but I was very disappointed to note that the FC tranny only gives it five ratios to work with.

For my Exige 240R replica, I used an Elise 111R. Again, I used a Stage 1 turbo and a couple other parts. The last wheel from Enkei doesn't look half bad on it, if you got a black Elise(240R was available in black and yellow).
