Recently bought a racing rig. PS5, racing seat mount and a Logitech wheel and pedals, quite an investment. Bought it to do some esports that's would actually interest me, yet every time I go online to get some practice or have fun, every single race is interrupted by some idiot smashing into me at a apex or purposely driving me off track.

Is there anywhere where I can have a real race vs people 2ho respect the rules and try to win fairly? Thinking of selling my setup otherwise because I find myself leading some races, just do drop out because of some idiot.

You could try joining a league, or opening your own lobbies and finding like minded racers is another option.

FIA races tend to be better, and they're about to kick off, so hang in there. But I agree, there are far too many monkeys in these daily races. You just need to get some clean races and pick up some decent DR ratings and you'll be getting better races soon enough.

And we have the catch 22, to get into clean races you need to be clean, but it's hard to stay clean in dirty races. I enjoy dailies, but I no longer do them on my main account, it is brutal the way the penalties are and bad/dirty drivers are everywhere. Finding people you want to play with is the best option for clean racing. FIA is better than daily, but it can still be spoiled by idiots and that's only twice a week when it's on so not ideal.

I don’t know if this will work for anyone else. I try to enter a daily race when my Qualifying time is with in 3 second from the top ten qualifying times, there seems to be a better driver matchups . Most times the line up is only a 1 to 2 seconds between the first ten drivers in that matchup race. You have to remember when you are in traffic no driver can match their qualifying time only the drivers with no one in front of them.

I've been called out on my Q time and proved them wrong in a race. I've also run laps in a race that's faster than my Q time and not because of using draft from the car in front and not because I sandbagged my lap time. Bumper cars are no fun, but it helps when you know what to do when it gets to that point.

I am impress that you can beat your qualifying time in traffic in one lap a clean pass in a race is what make a race car driver good in on line racing. The bumper car stuff is a gamer ruining a race for others

I've managed to beat my Q time in races too. Sometimes it's just a combination of following a better driver and getting their slipstream plus finding the optimal line you couldn't quite find in your qually session. It's annoying though, because it would be nice for that lap to count as your Q time!

Getting a slipstream can not happen in qualifying time you are out there by yourself doing the best that you can be ,without help from others. There is something true in racing there is always somebody faster.

Very true. I guess if they used your fastest in-race lap then circuits like Special Stage Route X it would be useless to use the qualifying option, just jump in a race and get a faster time than you could by yourself.

Still annoying when you spend 30 mins running qually laps to find hundredths, then jump in a race and go 0.5s faster on your first race...

Just keep at it. Get your SR and DR up and you will end up with more like minded racers!

Another vote for getting into leagues here on GTPlanet or watch some youtubers and join their discords and see what people in there are up to. Lobbies are great as well if you look for Clean ones.

I have about 600 days in GT Sport but only 80 odd Sport mode races completed. Very little of my time is spent in offline races so I have found plenty to do.

Maybe you should Google Qualifying time in car racing then get back to me .
