burning offline webpages to a CD-R?

hello i havent been on gtplanet.net in a long time but i was just wondering how do i burn my offline webpages to a cd-r i tried going to microsoft.com and spent about 3 1/2 hours trying to look for this but i found nothing so i tried over here. If you are wondering why i want to do this it is because i was going to put it on my laptop when i am going on a trip to somewhere far off.

well, i think these are the step that you are looking for:

1) Save each page that you want availible offline to a file using File->Save As and picking type to be "Web Page, complete". For simplicity, put all of these in the same folder.

2) Use whatever buring program to create a data cd-r and put that folder on the cd-r.

3) Burn it, and all of the pages should be able to be browsed without an internet connection.

Did you also save those images, to the right directory.

Say on your website, you saved your images in a folder called imagesness/ , then you would need to create the same folder in your cd and put all of the website images inside that exact folder. For it too work?

Or am I completely off.

to save a complete webpage choose file>save as> web archive, single file

this way your pages get saved as one file with all you pics intact and of the correct size and doesnt create folders etc...fire this on your cdwr and youre in..

you get the .mht extention and opens in IE.

i have also had problems saving pages with IE missing out pictures and stuff, but the method i just explained works excellently.

What browser are you using because i am usein mozilla and i cant choose the option web archive, single file.
