Hey guys,

I have a buttkicker gamer2 that I CANNOT for the life of me get to work with windows7.

I can hook it up to my ipod and it works amazing but when i try to use the sound card on my pc it just won't send a signal except when I hit the intensity up or down button on the bk remote I feel a slight bump each time i hit a button, but nothing in sync with the music im playing also the light on the bk amp never goes green indicating it has a steady signal.

My sound system works fine with the bk setup through the "y" adapter and into my "sub out(orange)" port, so it seems the signal is getting everywhere else but to the bk amp itself lol.

After pulling teeth to get a tech from Buttkicker on the phone, 5 calls yesterday with promise of a call back with no response in the end...finally I got through to the friendly tech on the other side this afternoon........he went through the possible set ups to physically hook up the buttkicker gamer2 to my soundcard. It seems everything is hard wired in correctly. After getting disconnected twice and dealing with the rude receptionist at the front desk, I tried to call back yet again only to get the "its after regular business hours message" leaving me angry and disappointed with The Guitammer Company.

ANYWAYS...I actually purchased a new sound card after I couldn't get it to work with the on board card and that wasn't the problem, so i probably didnt even need to replace that..oh well.

***It would seem I just can't figure out where in windows or in my sound card software I can turn something up so it will receive a signal (i know the system works because it works with my ipod).

IVE TRIED:

-turning up the master volume in the volume mixer in both windows and my azus DSX soundcard software (all my music plays perfectly but no signal from the buttkicker)

-checking the soundcard software to ensure Iam on analog sound with 5.1

-testing all my channels on the system (logitech z5500) and they all work great.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I've been messing around with this for days now and I don't want to return it because I couldnt solve the tiny problem that is surely a one click fix.

Thanks in advance.

It can be a hit or miss proposition getting the BK2 to work through a PC. Does your sound card have an optic out connection? Do you have a stereo amp with a optic in connection? I connect my PC to a Pioneer A/V stereo via an optic cable. Then I connect the BK2 to the A/V stereo (sub out), then any game, you tube, netflix etc that I watch or play on my PC gets full BK2 rumble.

Don't feel bad, I tried connecting my BK2 via their manual and wasn't happy with its performance so I went the way I described.

Hey left888, thanks for the reply,

Unfortunately I don't have a normal stereo amp, only the logitech z5500's. The way you have connected the bk2 sounds like it would work quite nice though.

My sound card does have optical and so does my astro gaming headset, but I can't seem to get the two to work even with a optical spliter.

I think I might look for a soundmix board like this guy does and see if I can get something going.
