Buttons are starting to stick

I've had the wheel for a few months now, and just recently I noticed two of the buttons have started to stick. Granted, it's rarely an issue, but it's still a problem if there are actions assigned to either of the buttons. The R2 button will stay depressed for about 1 second after being released, and the square button will stay depressed for around 5 seconds or so at first, closer to 3 seconds after it's been "worked around" for awhile.

Has anyone had this happen to their wheel before? And does anyone have any tips on how I could fix it?
I appreciate any help.

Try opening it up and checking to see if the mother board for the controller is tight. Or put some lubrecant behind it such as akali oil??

i had a problem like this, but it was for a contoller.
this might not work for your wheel.
there was a little rubber cub that acts like a spring, mine was on a anlge and the other was off. i replaced these little things and the buttons did not sitck.
sorry if that wasnt any help

Thanks for the responses.

Does anybody know how to open up the actual wheel, as in the piece that has the buttons? I've searched around, and only found the base of the wheel and the pedal assembly opened up. A few of the screws seem innaccessible near the center of the wheel. So maybe I need to take the wheel off the base first?
