It's pitiful stock but I think you can fix the car with tuning. It's not a "buy this car and win everything" type of deal. But if you tune it well, it is fun enough to drive. And it's historical and cool. "Worth" is relative but with the tomahawk Tokyo race, I don't see an argument for not buying it. You'll get a lot more fun out of this than the 20 mill cars.

I think it's worth the purchase for collecting reasons. In terms of sports, I didn't find it competitive in Gr.3. It doesn't have the stability of most modern cars. However, I personally prefer it to stay that way. It is somewhat anachronistic to make this car perform like the GT3/GTE of the last decade.

Hopefully in the future PD will add McLaren F1 opponents (BPR Global GT Series) and do specific races in Sport Mode.

I'll get one since I need all the cars that raced in JTC/JGTC in my life and additionally friends and I want to organize a 95 LM24 :dopey:

Not sure how it competes with BoP enabled, but without it's really quick compared to the other Gr.3 cars, especially on more open circuits. Seemed a good choice for the WTC 800 races, quick enough to run map 6 and fuel save while still catching the AI.

Test the car yourself... you can borrow it for Gr.3 races for free... and use it for example. drive in Interlagos. My Opinion... It's a great car... but currently useless with the BoP in Sport mode, or maybe very rarely.

Hello,

does anyone already have the McLaren F1 GTR BMW'95? Are the 10.5 million credits worth it?
Yes & Yes!

How can you borrow cars?

It's a Le Mans winner so from historical perspective it was must buy for me after I saw no 3 legendary cars in most recent rotation.

I drove it a bit last night, under BoP I could barely gain ground up the back straight at Interlagos in the slip of an Gr3 RXV, or the older Gr3 Nissan Skyline. Straight line speed used to be its thing in GTS. The brakes did seem a bit better, but overall it seemed fairly average.

I can't find a button anywhere to rent cars that aren't in my garage. Does anyone have a screenshot for me?

When you go to enter the track in sport mode only, you have to choose one of two options, car from garage or rent a car. Pick the rent option, don’t go into your garage.

Thank you, the keyword "sport mode" was missing.

Hello,

Got it today and after a bit of tweaking with setup, won the Spa 1 hour endurance comfortably and also some 800PP races. Stock it's very twitchy but adjust height and dowforce and even on hards it's great

For collection: If you have a ton of credits to play around with... It's worth getting one.

For Sport Mode: Not worth it. It is super slow, as the current BoP (Balance of Performance) makes it have almost 100 less horsepower than the Subaru WRX Gr. 3 (one of the best Gr. 3 cars at the moment).

For Singleplayer: Worth it for the end-game grind. I de-tuned mine for the WTC700 LeMans event, and it's pretty fun to drive. I'm sure it'll also do well in the WTC800 Sardegna and Spa events.

Without tuning it's diabolical on Spa with 5 laps (RH) of tire wear (even sooner on RM/S). VERY DIABOLICAL in the wet at Spa. Sardegna it's pretty good, just can't go down the gears quickly otherwise the rear will betray you.

Just bought mine yesterday as well, but mostly for nostalgia's sake. The F1 is my favorite car, but I see what folks are saying about it and yes, it needs some tuning.

For 10.5 million credits you can get half (23 out of 45) Gr. 3 cars at 450,000/.

For 20 million you can pretty much buy Brand Central.

O604... that weighed heavily on me prior to picking up the McLaren. My heart overruled my mind. LOL
I'm trying to get the invitation cars before it expires Friday, but I also went with this logic when getting the McLaren lol
