Does anyone here use one? I'd like to know all information, is it stable when hard cornering, are you happy with it etc...

I'm looking into buying one next week. Any Aussies here ordered one? The only place you can buy it in Australia is from www.thegamingcollection.com.au Calling all Aussies, have you had problems with them? good/bad customer service? etc...

Thanks

I'm sure many GTPers own a Playseat Evo.

I've only had mine for a couple of months. I was a bit sceptical about getting it - I owned a G25 for 2 years & used a very sturdy table set-up which seemed quite adequate to me. However, I really like the Playseat rig, now that I have it. It is easy to assemble, sturdy, comfortable (I do use an extra, small bolster for the small of my back), integrates perfectly with the G25 (with optional gear-shift holder) & looks very compact & sporty (to my eye some of the other commercial cockpits look a bit clunky in comparison). It definitely makes the driving more immersive.

I really have no complaints at all: I had thought the center support might be awkward, but you are able to offset the G25 pedals a little which gives an perfect driving position. There is a little bit of movement in the main support under strong FFB, but it is not disturbing & I think it actually gives a sense of the car "vibrating".

I recommend it. 👍

Awesome thanks for the info mate...I'm really looking forward to getting mine. Only problem we Aussies have is that we can only buy it from that site I mentioned and I'm abit worried cause the site looks dodgy.

I clicked on "add to cart" to see how how much extra I'd have to pay for postage and it took me to a Paypal page that said "Sorry — your last action could not be completed" so yeah not entirely convinced. I'll call them and see what we can work out and hopefully everything will go smoothly.

A lot of site are badly designed - but you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. I'm not entirely thrilled by Frex's website - but it doesn't stop them making and selling seriously expensive hardware.

If you use Paypal (which you should to be safe), then you shouldn't have any worries. I had a dispute with a seller on Ebay and I got my money back within the month. 👍

I just bought this for 399€

At the official reseller of playseats in belgium. I now have both that and the g25, no more primitive cockpit solutions, I'm all set :D

I just got a Playseat Evolution about a month ago, I'm using it with my Logitech Driving Force Pro (which had been gathering dust in the corner for about a year). I had toyed with the idea of building my own cockpit, but laziness got the better of me, I have to say I've no regrets or complaints whatsoever. The Playseat Evolution has been well able for any rough handeling. It's a very sturdy piece of kit & I've enjoyed GT5P so much more since getting it. Very tempted to get a G25 now

Cool thanks for all the replies. I ordered one a few days ago it should arrive next week. I CANT WAIT!

I also ordered the steering wheel adapter which should be arriving at the same time too. I'll be able to swap the G25's steering wheel with a MOMO one. :)

Also what is the common size of a steering wheel in sports/performance cars?

I'm loving mine (finally put my g25 out of the box again to put it on) and now just waiting for GT5 to drop (and do cable management also).

Just got my tracking information on my order.

Items 2
Cubic Metres 0.14
Kilos 29.00

I ordered the gearshift adaptor and the seat adjuster but they would only add maybe 1-2kg.

Hey J-PaP I also got the same info on my tracking info. When did you purchase yours? On what date? Because you seem to already know its coming on Friday. I purchased mine on the 1st of September but it was only shipped out today (8th September) because the store was closed for a week. I'm just guessing mine will arrive on Thursday or Friday. Did you also buy the bundle?

I was shattered there was no white ones left :(

I purchased mine on the 7th. I knew they were closed and held off ordering till I spoke to them and made sure they had stock. I had previously ordered a hyperstimulator and after a month of being told "i have been called interstate and haven't had a chance to do this or that" I gave up and decided to go the playseat instead.

I know mine is coming on Friday because I asked when I spoke to them. They ship out on Tuesday and Friday from what I understood.

I did get the bundle. I needed the gearshift mount anyway and it was worthwhile getting the seat adjuster thrown in as well.

Looking at the tracking information it should be in Adelaide by tomorrow. At this rate it could arrive Thursday but Friday is a definite. By the way I'm in Melbourne too so we should both get the seat same day.

I did this review quite a long time ago

I know has been a great help to many for getting a better luck at the product.

The only real issue with these is the seats tend to creek a bit and comfort from the chair isnt as good of course as a proper racing seat.
They are great products for the money though.

Ive since sold this product but hope it helps
