On behalf of the entire Team Octane Racing from Sweden, I'd like to wish every participant in the wurks.ca 24hr Nürburgring race all the respect and a "jolly good time" (as Gadget probably would have said in pure british accent).

HaHa, see you in (Green) Hell Swedish Competitor !!! :sly:

Rosenlundaren
Good luck to you all!

I'll try to follow you by any videostream (?)

No stream mate, updated on fb tho

Very nice to see the livestream! 👍 Combined with facebook it gives a good feel for the race. Keep it going gentlemen!

Awesome, didn't realize there was a stream :)

Only got my phone so I'm changin between stream, fb an gtp. Impressive screen those swedes have! How big is it? My 47" suddenly seem so tiny...

It's definitely big, we got 50 inch. There's a pic up on the fb page.

We are 2nd and down 40 secs but should leapfrog dem pesky Swedes when they pit.

Its bucketing down at the ring of the nurb, really outstanding racing. We are up by 12 seconds. Who'd have thought after nearly 10 hours there'd only be a few seconds in it.

This race is already a classic.

Nice livestream so we could check it out too.

ps: thats a big screen!:dopey:

Yup, despite not challenging for the lead, we at least had the honor of starting on pole and leading the first 8 laps......and then it all went downhill from there. Great fun though. Now need to catch up on some SLEEEEEP.

Congrats to GHH and TOR on a truly well fought contest. We enjoyed every minute

Driver 4 from Team Motion Blur here. Just got home after leaving Gadget's place about an hour after the chequered flag.

That was exciting, fun, nerve-wracking, scary and frustrating all at the same time! What an experience! A massive thanks to Kurt and the organising team, and to the other teams for taking part and making it all a great race. At one point (I think it wa about 11 hours in) there was about 5 seconds between first and second place! That is an epic battle. I'd give you guys all a manly hug if I could for racing with integrity and keeping the 24 hours clean, fun and exciting.

From my personal perspective, until Nov 12 I had probably only completed 5 full laps of the 'Ring and never without damage! So my first 'clean lap' of 16 minutes in the Nissan GTR TC was a huge deal for me. I have now managed to get that to running clean laps in race condition of 8:40s so its a massive jump for me in only 4 months. I was worried I'd not enjoy the race due to me getting damage (which happens more often than not), but it didnt disrupt my enjoyment at all. Its frustrating clipping a kerb and getting thrown into the wall, but hey its part of racing.

Anyway, gonna try get some sleep now.

Thanks to the guys that organised it, massive thanks to Team Octane, and GHH for being great sports and thanks to my own team members (Gadget, G3THD and i-was-ere) for making it a great race. Plenty of laughs in the race room and on the race chat lobby.

To the organisers and competitors, thank you for a great event.

Truly enjoyed the Facebook updates. Great idea!

GHH, did you guys ever find any grip in the gravel sections of the track?

Negatory! We tried too lol, plenty of kitty litter quality inspection trips haha.

Took us 9 hours 52 min to get damage o_o

We managed that on lap 9 :ill:
:D

That is still a fair effort mate, you guys did yourselves proud :)

Dropped this over on crap, doing a copy and paste to drop it here also,

Guys, I would like to say that my respect level for Gadget and Scott and the other gent or 2 in thier 24 hour has gone through the roof, I'd have lobbied all my kit out the window after that shocking few laps, but you eventually pulled it all back taogether and proved you could still match pace, It was still a fantastic event, hopefully we get good turn out next year, going to try my hand in some marketing once all spec's and dates are locked in,

Also a big thankyou to our fearless leader HP, turns out he's not entirely fearless, after the 4 hour event last week the idea of me driving in the race had him more terrified then meeting jaws,

And the swedes, kept us honest and kept the pressure on us all the way to the end, with the famous "its not over until its over" attitude, great job,

And last of all our team mates Johan (WIDFO) and Luke ( RB211) for their participation, Johan was extremely consistent in all conditions and Luke kept everyone honest, also all 3 men did a fantastic job keeping themselves as well as who was driving motivated and focused, great effort guys, lets do it again,

@Play117, I agree that T.V is mega big, Sony are releasing a 120" are you devastated now?
