These special Cadillac Seville's were used as the pace car's for the 2000 Le Mans race to signal Cadillac's return to Le Mans which happened with the Cadillac Northstar LMP. They were prepared by The Cunningham Company and were a homage to the 1950 Le Man Cadillac entries raced by Briggs Cunningham.

It was also announced that a limited production run of road versions known as the 'Cunningham Edition' would be produced but it's not known if this ever happened. The Le Mans versions still exsist.

I just love the square look of the Seville STS in general and this was the pinnacle of that models development in my opinion. The tasteful bodykit and alloys are great and it looks like a proper American luxury tuner car. Would be a great addition to GT as they already have the Skyline Pace Car, a few others and they could have a race series! I think the STS looks best with the livery but without the roof lights fitted.

Specs as the stock STS plus....

+20HP bringing it to 320HP from the Northstar V8 engine
18" Alloys
Uprated & Enlarged Brakes
Uprated Suspension & Handling
Aerodynamic & Cooling Improvements
Custom Bodykit & Front Bumper
Special 'Argentinium' Paint
HID Headlights
Night Vision System
Racing Upgraded Seats

What they don't tell you is that this car was one of last truly terrible Caddys before GM woke up. Hence Seville (and DeVille) name being dropped for good from current Caddy lineup. It had FWD, for crying out loud...

Although these were pretty prehistoric under the body work and yes the current Caddy's are better stylistically and engineering wise these late 90's boxy Cadillac's looked pretty cool and had a unique style. The era immediately after this wasn't all the great either IMO.

With a bit of good tuning they could get the best out of it, like with the pacecar.

So PD is putting in the M4 safety car... only the second safety car in a GT game after the Skyline.

Make the Caddy happen PD! :sly:
