Greetings all! If you're reading this, then you probably know what a beta test is. If not, I'll do my best to fill you in.

Over the past 18 months or so, I've been developing a multiplayer, browser-based Internet game. The game has reached a point where I'm ready to allow a semi-public beta test, or free access to the game. That's right, no cost! ;)

This game might eventually go full blown public, which means there may be a subscription fee. But, that's way in the future. Anyway, enough of that - here's the nitty gritty (as they say).

The game is a 'near-future Internet hacking simulation'. Kinda. It's a bit hard to explain, and we're (the developers) aren't exactly sure of the background anyway. What we need is this: dedicated beta testers. By dedicated, I mean people who are going to play everyday (with some obvious breaks, we're not dictators) and continually particpate in the included forums. Feedback and comments, whether good or bad, are what we need to improve the game more and more. The next full revision is currently in development and is probably going to appear in the alpha stage in Q1 2003. Back to the 'dedicated' thing. We're not trying to be mean to our beta testers, but a lack of participation in the game (and the forums) is grounds for account deletion. Simply drop in the forums and tell us how you think the game is going (assuming you sign up).

And, since this is only a 'semi-public' beta, please do not (at this time anyway) invite non-GTP folks to try it out. Only you guys are being invited to this beta - nice exclusivity, eh? ;)

All right, the part you've been waiting for (if you've read this far, you might just be dedicated enough ;)), the actual details.

The game is located at http://www.pcjunkeez.net. Click on 'Domain Knights' from the main page, and you'll be taken to the game. I HIGHLY recommend reading the tutorial before you sign up (or sign up and read it while you wait for your validation code). The tutorial is slim at best, but does contain enough information to get you started. I suggest you print it out and refer to it as you begin playing. Then, any further questions should be directed to the forums.

We are a very 'community-oriented' bunch. Most of the features in the current release of the game were requested by the alpha testers. Don't be afraid to request an enhancement or change to the game if you think it would improve the overall play.

So, there's the proverbial 'beef'. If you think you can play regularly, participate on the forums, and add something to our community, then I invite you to try out Domain Knights.

Thank you for your time.

(Posted with permission from Jordan - Thanks man, now I owe you one. ;))

Well, you can't expect to win on the first day. ;)

The last reset lasted about 5 months...major cash flying around at the end of that one. ;)

(thank god for cp's)

 Welcome to the family, my friend. ;)

Just a hint though: Jervinator is quite the little warrior this time around. I'd recommend getting some solid defense before you start climbing up the ranks. He's taken quite a few nodes from me already.

I tried to attack and I got shut down. lol. Its fun thougth. I think it would be cool if there was a chat feature built in. good job though.

You get one every minute. Just wait a bit, and when you go back you'll have more.

If you like this game...wait until you see the next one. ;)
