Reeves Callaway always had a dream of competing at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. His idea started by taking a C4 Corvette and creating the bodywork for a street version and eventually he completed a full race version as well, known as the LM-GT.

The LM-GT was designed to maximise the downforce of the car at high speed while the car itself was powered by a race tuned version of Chevrolet's LT-1 small block V8 producing 475HP.

The Callaway LM-GT was always a strong contender in qualifying but mechanical failures plagued their racing competition. The car first entered Le Mans in 1995, where it finished 2nd in class behind a Honda NSX, but they were unable to finish the race in 1996 and 1997.

The car also raced during the 1996 season of the BPR Global GT Championship and the first 4 rounds (excluding Helsinki) of the 1997 FIA GT Championship.

In 1998, Callaway produced the "C7" for the GT1 category but as soon as it was ready to race it was rendered obsolete, as the GT1 category was just being phased out, with GT2 becoming the new GT1. Because of this rule change we will never know how well the C7 would've performed.

1996 BPR GT Anderstorp 4 Hours - 10th (4th in GT2)

1997 FIA GT Spa 4 Hours - 15th (5th in GT2)

Voted because I can recall "Driving" an unbranded version of this car in the game "Test Drive Le Mans" as a kid (It was one of the "Starter Cars" in the GT2 class of that game).
