Never seen this car mentioned before. Was curious what kind of times you guys were running. I think mines running a 10.2xx or close to it. Definitely a sleeper.

It'll run close to the '63 C2 Corvette & the Buick GNX, all 3 have around 600hp and 700ft-lbs. Depends on the turbo in the GNX, but the mid-range is the best IMO.

My '63 runs in the 10.1s

Nice man. That's a nice time. Yeah, I just through a quick tune down for the IROC and was a little shocked to see the time that low. I'm curious to see how low I can get it down to.

The GNX can get down to a 10.2? Or even a 10.3 at that would be nice. I thought for sure this was a 10.4 car?

Of all the muscle cars, I think a Nova would demolish them all. If PD gets off their 🤬 butts and puts the car in the game, that is.

Nova ? Baahhh, I'm dreaming if a 68 or 69 Dodge Dart with either a 440 or 426 :)

Dodge darts are pretty nice too... I still like the Chevy Nova as that's used by many real life staggers lol. Put a souped up LS3 in it and you'll do good. By the way, that was a figure of speech, of course you have to change the chassis, suspension, etc.

I'd like to see nova's also. Knew a guy a while back who dragged one, I can't remember what class it was in but he needed to use the stock intake and I believe exhaust manifolds too. He was running mid to high 11's with a sb 350. It was a very well set up car.

You made me drool

I havent run one yet, but I assumed since it was similar power it would be close to .2 or .3. If I can find a low miles one I'll run it and find out.

He was probably running a Yenko Deuce. Those came with the 350 SBC and ran as fast or faster than the '69 396 Chevelle back in the day since it was so much lighter. I really wish they'd add the Nova and the '67 Corvette, screw that slow '63 split window - I want a 427 tripower.

Boss 429/351 would eat that. Or better yet the dreaded Eleanor. And then I beat you all with the Ford 460. I win.

An L88 Corvette or ZL1 Camaro/Chevelle would keep up with that 429 Boss.. IDK about the 460, but those late 60 Chevys were extremely underrated. That's the problem with the muscle in this game - they threw in a few signature muscle cars that anyone can recognize, and leave out all the juicy ones we'd love to build up into a drag monster.

It would keep up with it yes, but other than that, nothing will. And the rest of that is true. The 460 is a bored and stroked 429 which was a semi hemi, underrated at 375hp even though actual output was more like 550hp, if not more. A 460 can be built into a 598 from a stock block, and if you get me an SVO HO tall deck I'll build you a 13.1 liter 820ci motor.

@Mikey, you do realize more than half those numbers are underrated right?

The 67 L88 was rated at 435hp @ 4000 RPM, when it made peak horsepower at roughly 6500 - 7000, some stock motors being dynoed at 580hp. The ZL1 was essentially the same block but made of aluminum, so it was extremely light - like running a small block.

Yeah they would run pretty evenly, except very few L88s were built, unlike the Boss 429 which made about 1500 more between 1969 and 1970. My dad wants an aluminum 460 SVO HO someday.

They're just the numbers each particular publication ran with given bone stock production car, different track conditions, different drivers, weather conditions, altitude etc all come into play for sure, They would have to have been tested on the same track at the same time of day with the same driver to be totally accurate. It's just a generalized list.:)

It's not about power every time
It's about chassis geometry and how well can the power put to the ground!!!
We have a lot of sleepers cause we don't believe them for such races!!!
A short wheelbase car spins more than a longer and maintains speed more
Fine tune that car and 10.299 maybe not a problem...

We need the 2012 Shelby Mustang GT500 Super Snake in the next DLC, that would be a killer car...especially it we could upgrade it further.

90s 5.0s are bulletproof tho.. dump 150 shot on a stock block all day long!

So are the ones of the years I listed. You could dump way more than that in those years due to the better build quality, and let alone more factory horsepower. Personally I'd rather have engine swaps and swap in a Ford 460 SVO HO into the Shelby Cobra and run 3500hp.

No the new 2012 1000 S/C would eat that, street legal 950hp, track 1100hp.

It's an April Fools joke. For a while I thought I was the only one seeing them like that.

My bud thought that S/C was faster than a Veyron for a minute when I told him how much power it had. I was like there is another car with 1200hp then this, then the Veyron lol.
