Can anyone else fly the plane well?

just curious if any of you learnt from '24-hour dodo flight' and can now fly well. if so have you got any good places to fly to (except the ghost town and other well known places)

I can fly for about 4 to 5 minutes now... I could go longer but it's kinda boring, and it's a pain in the @ss in my opinion...


I don't go anywhere special, though, I just fly around the islands and try not to run into crqp...


Oh, and I learned how to fly from reading your posts...

yeah i know what you mean it is boring but its fun to get the occasional dodo out of the sky :fdevil:

Try looking at the sniping thread and try to get on top of some of the TALL buildings, its great with the cops.

stupid plane is f... up thats why its called the dodo I can only fly that plane for 15 to 17 seconds before I start to crash

It was - thanks, I can now struggle over to Portland to get the plane into the Import/Export garage.

The thing I find is that your errors tend to be cumulative and that eventually it all gets very ugly - it is quite a thrill flying between the buildings on Staunton Island though!

The worst one I had was losing control of the plane between Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale - I eventually crashed in Chinatown right in the middle of a very large group of Triads. Given the stage of the game I was at you can imagine they weren't terribly pleased to see me. Great fun!

I can fly the plane.. my longest is 638 seconds!!

It does get pretty boring though after you use it to find all the secret packages (98 i got)

And why is it you cant have a plane with all of its wings?

I still suck at flying that thing... i can only stay in the air for about 35 seconds.... I'm good with the tank though.

good to see ive helped some people. Ive leant the game to a friend and haven't seen it for over a month so i havent done much flying. you think 600+ sces was boring. The 24 hours (game time obviously) was boring (14400 secs i think). Good to have a record though (for the site anyway).

Geeze! I haven't played GTA3 in a month or two, and I played it earlier and tried flying... Whoa! Talk about sucking! Whew...my dodo seems to be magnetically attracted somehow to the water.

Know what you mean - flying the plane for me seems to be this ongoing accident that seems to take forever to happen - although I have graduated to the point of hitting stuff rather than water.

I can fly the plane fairly well, but it does get boring after a while. Just remember to stay away from areas with lots of tall buildings.

if you stick the handling cheat on in the air it helps you stop on buildings better. Best ones so far are the cop helipad and some tall building above tw@. Im aiming to get on shoreside hospital (you look at how ******* tall that is). Its twice the height of the observatory.
