While there's nothing stopping it, the fact is that Sony/PlayStation/PD have moved on. It seems unlikely to ever return.

You never know what the future might bring, you might get an opportunity when you least expect it. You can learn a lot from simulation driving about real performance driving so it is quite useful and cheap way to learn your craft on the game while working on your fitness in preparation for any opportunity.

I think Max Verstappen is planning to give opportunities to the best sim racers in the not too distant future so if you can prove yourself as a top sim racer good enough to join the likes of Team Redline, you will stand a much better chance to make it as a real driver from sim racing. Easier said than done though, best of luck!
