I read the FAQ here and it has all the steps, but it either leaves out a critical piece, or I am missing something, or my setup isn't working.
I took a picture in Photomode.
I did the transfer to XMB thing.
I quit the game and on the XMB I went to "Photo".
At the end of that list there was a folder called "Dec 2010" and inside it was my picture.
I hit triangle on it, choose copy (also tried copy mutliple) and it says, "Connect storage device at the save destination."
Now I had already plugged my USB thumb drive into the port on the front of the PS3. When I did that nothing of note happened except some momentary flashing lights on my thumb drive (which I assumed was it talking to the PS3).
But from there I have no idea how to see if it is connected. I have no idea how to tell it that the drive is where I want to copy the pictures to. I am lost. I have never used a usb stick with the PS3 before, so this is all new territory, so please if you do this regularly and can provide some guidance, don't leave out any small details that you think "Well, everyone knows this part" because I probably don't!
With any luck, this will be easier and better quality than taking a picture of my TV with my camera phone and then text messaging it to my email account.
Thanks all.
