Can someone help me out here.

I was wondering if someone can help me disable my on board video card. Just purchased the TNT 2 PCI video card and well it works fine is just that im unable to disable the onboard video. I have a HP Pavilion and would really appreciate any help. Ive tried going in to the bios but the option to turn it off was shaded out and was unable to turn it off. Is there any other way to disable it?

Try going back into the bios and looking for an option that will enable the shaded option. Lot's of things can't be accessed under "automatic" settings, but can be under "manual."

Surprising that the TNT card doesn't disable it for you. I've seen that happen before on a much cheaper card. What happens when you plug the monitor into the new card?
