Thats because none of the muscle cars are competitive online except the Shelby Cobra, they do not have enough horsepower and lack a 6th gear so you don't have too many options with gearing it. The used car Challenger RT 440 is pretty good however.

Not competitive? Could you explain why two equal muscle cars aren't competitive to each other?

Hmmm I always thought Corvettes and Vipers were musclecars. I know they aren't "classic" musclecars but still...:sly::crazy:

They're sports cars. A muscle car is a regular passenger sedan/coupe with a big engine and suspension made from twigs and rubber bands.

Hmm isn't that what all those Skylines Kaz stuck us with are then? Not to mention the BMW M cars, the Mercedes AMC/McLarens, the Lotus Cartons....:lol:
Just joking. But seriously "musclecars" is a rather vague definition. It's not the same as saying a 4door sedan or 2 door coupe or station wagon etc. and can include cars that also fit other classifications of cars. At least in my opinion.

Its a medium sized sedan/coupe with a big block engine, usually 350+ cubic inch.

Just because something is american does not make it a muscle car, a viper or corvette is a sports car.

A mustang, camaro, or a challenger is a pony car, usually small block v8 in a coupe body with a slightly sportier suspension.

A Gran Torino, Chevelle, or Charger is a muscle car.

It's true that it's not a very well defined category, but as soon as you start classifying anything that's fast in a straight line as a musclecar then the word loses all meaning. I mean, the 458 Italia has a V8 and almost runs 10's in the 1/4 mile, does that make it a muscle car? Obviously not. What makes a C6 Z06 a muscle car but not a Ferrari? Engine location? Displacement? Valvetrain configuration? Country of origin? Exhaust note? Interior quality?

Newer cars are a little odd to classify at times but I generally look at the cars of the late 60s early 70s when defining musclecars. Specificly the various racing formats and what cars competed on track in the same classes. So yeah your big block Corvettes ran with the other "musclecars" in drag racing and various road racing series.
As I mentioned before its an ill defined term and ask 10 different people what a musclecar is and your libel to get 10 different answers. I would say country of origin is the closest to a common denominator as there have been few cars that weren't American that people consider as musclecars. Anyways I've dragged this thread way off topic so I'll apologize to the OP and leave the subject alone.:D

Yes different people have different opinions but traditionally muscle cars are:
American
Rear drive solid axle
Powered but a naturally aspirated or supercharged pushrod V8
Are based on standard models but with a an engine that is larger. ex: chevy II vs nova ss or fairlane and fairlane 500
