You can have the best of both worlds...
Just start a new game, but use a USB stick as the save location.
You won't lose your first game, so you don't have to worry about it.
When you start, the game will ask what save you want to use.
Use the Auction house method of transferring cars, especially cars that have parts you can sell off. At first to build a little cash, any car you plan on moving add a few sets of wheels, diameter and wings. You can add any engine or swaps if you can afford it too, but that's not really needed. After you get the second account going, there's no need to add anything at all, but even at 1/2 value having a few extra bucks to get going makes it a little easier to get started.
List the car in the Auction house for 20 million with a buyout of 20 million. If some one buys the car, it's OK for that kind of cash... List 5 or 10 at a time for 2 hours. Then go into the auction house and cancel the auctions. Go back out of the game to the "press A to start the game" screen, then press A. This time, select the USB save and load it up. You are now in your "new" game with little cash and whatnot. Now, go to the Auction House and take back your cars. You're still the same account so there's no issue, you're just bringing them back to your new home instead of your old one.
I do this simply to use the 2nd account garage as storage for cars I want to keep but don't race. As many cars are gifted and can't be sold or moved, if I want to keep them, I need room. Since I can't move them on the main account, the more spaces I can make for cars I do want to use the better.
As for legality and T10, a trusted friend relayed his conversation with the developer about it. He wanted to know about this and about people "storing" cars on the Auction House list to get around the garage cap. He said that they do not like people using the AH as a storage facility, and that this is the only method to use that is not frowned upon by this establishment to move your cars and make room in your garage. However, riding the dog like a small horse is... (...frowned upon by this establishment...)
You are able to run the first 50 levels to get the prize cars and then auction them off for extra cash should you desire, as you still have to earn them by leveling up. They do not consider that as cheating unlike cloning saves, cars or cracks etc. I personally don't do this, but I can see why someone would. There are still a good number of decent value award cars that haven't been auctioned to death yet.
I limit myself to one extra save, as I have more money than I know what to do with on the main account now just running rivals and playing the AH. I do know of people with 5 plus saves that they cycle over and over, which is why some of the high dollar prize cars go for pennies on the dollar. There's just so many of them out there.
That's something I'm not a fan of, but some of us just don't have skills in paint, tuning or driving to make the cash elsewhere so I can't blame them for doing something they can do to make some cash for themselves. It's a lot of time to invest for a diminishing return, but we all do what we have to do to make a racing living...
As for making $$$, there's no way not to make money in F4. I'm not some super hero driving ace paint guru tuning master at all. Just an average Dr. Joe that knows just enough to dabble in everything a little.
The reality of making cash in Forza is incredibly simple. Just Drive.
Rivals pay well even if you NEVER beat anyone. Run the laps in the car, especially any of the "stock only" challenges. Not only do you have a competitive car, but they pay pretty well and build up your affinity levels quickly. There are a number of these scattered throughout the rivals area. Every good turn, good pass, accidental drift, decent lap etc etc etc adds up to $$$ and XP. Just DRIVE the dang car...
I can't remember the post, but another player races online against an all AI field for a good chunk of laps and gets paid nicely for it. I had never thought of it, but have tried it and it can be some good money making fun on days when my head just isn't quite with me. And you do get paid, and XP, and driving seat time, all of which come in handy.
There are many cheap cars in the AH all the time. Paint them pretty, throw a set of wheels and put the Aero on them. They'll sell, as anyone buying them knows they have a few grand of parts to sell off even if they hate the car.
Or if you can, tune them good to the limit of a PI point and they'll sell quite well. A good tuner can make out really well and make as much as a decent painter. Let the player paint it themselves, a car that runs well is worth it's weight in credits and then some.
Not to get carried away, but it's all just fake money anyway.
I have 60 mill sitting around right now, to which I say big whoop.
It just means I can buy an expensive car if I feel like it.
It's not like I did anything extraordinary...
Instead of wasting time trying to get over, I just played the friggin' game.
One of my friends just drives and drives. He's not bad mind you, but he's at level 249 last time I checked. He collects certain fantasy cars he likes and loves beating you in a rival challenge by a 10th of a second. He'll spend all day doing it too. He has more money than he can ever spend, and all he does is drive and collect the cars he likes. He has a few accounts to store all his art treasures in, but he loves to drive. Heck, he drifted the Ford Service Van down Mt Kaido... That was worth the price of admission just to follow him down the the thing laughing my buttockal region off. He actually made quite a bit of cash doing it too.
Take the time to play and enjoy the game.
If you do, you'll find money will be the least of your problems.
