Can we Edit "saved" Tunes.?.?

Can we edit our custom tunes after they have been saved? I know we can go back and tweak them while "testing" a tune.., but the option to edit an existing tune (that has already been saved) doesn't seem to be an option. Is this correct?

I've tried to go back and make a few changes to some tunes to find that the edit option is shaded out. I'm left then having to completely re-tune the vehicle all over again just to make a minor change to one area. Is this right?

Thx

You have to pick that tune from the track list when you load a tune and resave it to the same track. Once you load a tune, the edit button is ungrayed.

What about "general tunes"? I've created numerous general tunes for vehicles just to make them drivable, and executed the ALL save feature (saving the tune for ALL tracks). Shouldn't the Edit function be available here too? When I go back in to rework a saved tune when ALL save has been executed the Edit feature is not available.

You have to understand, how the system of setup files work in S2U (the same, as with all older gmotor engine titles).

If you change to a car, you already drove, the software will pick a "general" setting for that car - this is to my understanding not your latest setup, you saved for this car for a given track.

The system saves a setup file into each tracks setup folder (you save setup files individually for each track).

As soon, as you enter an event, where a certain track is loaded, the system automatically loads the setup file for the particular car and track combination, as you enter the event.

In theory, this should work for any event for any track (so you would not have to load a setup file, before entering a test track, if you plan, to modify this setup, while on the track).

If you just want to do a quick tweak on a setup file for a certain track/ car combination, you should do this:

- choose the car in the garage (making it the active car)
- load the setup from the particular track, tune it and save it back to the track(s), you want, to use this setup in events.

I think, this system, as implemented is pretty bullet proof - only annoyance are the slow loading times in general, when all, you want to do is just reduce the steering angle from 20 to 12 or so ;-)
