Can we have an option for different race starts.

Currently a lot of the fun of the single player races is being diminished by every race being a rabbit chase starting a massive distance behind the race leader, can an option be introduced to allow less spread fields and standing starts into races?

I'm aware this may produce framerate issues but for some of us that would be preferable over the current style of massive distances between each car. I would be OK with a tick box in the options where the player acknowledges the performance may be harmed but it would be a small price to pay for much more realistic starts.
