Can you beat Season Events with Comfort Hard?

Just wondering if anyone can, just noticed today the massive difference in performance between tires. (I knew it was there but not this big)

I'm in A Spec Challenge No.2 with all aids turned off including ABS btw

On the 500pp challenge with a Lancia on Sports-Soft I can come first by a few seconds, on Comfort-Hard I can't even overtake a single car! I come last :(

I don't think the A.I. cars tires match yours, when I am on Comfort tires they can take corners faster than me and can even brake and turn at the same time without spinning out, I swear they hax :yuck:

Uhh... The event descriptions tell you what tires the AI cars are running. In the 500pp seasonals, they're running Sports Hard tires. Why are you trying to complete the events on Comfort Hards anyways? That's crazy! Work smarter, not harder.

Also as a person that used to run with no ABS all of the time, let me say this: It's a good idea if you're trying to learn delicate braking techniques such as late braking. After you learn how to control your brake strength, turn the ABS back on. Sure, it's kinda impressive if you're running without it, but you're practically limiting both the car and your own true potential with ABS turned off. I only recently learned this myself.

Good luck!

I had a look at the event description but it doesn't say what tires the A.I. are using, there's a tire Icon with "No Limit", maybe the Australian version of GT5 has different menus?

I found a way around it though, if you watch a replay you can see all the tires the A.I. use and they are all running Sport Hard on this event so that explains why they drive better, I thought I had read somewhere that they use the same tires you choose but I guess that was wrong.

That solved my mystery anyway, would be fun if I could limit them to Comfort Hard though behehe

As for ABS, I just turn off aids for fun not for any practical purpose, even with ABS 1 it feels like the car is driving itself around corners, you can brake anywhere with no consequences.
