If so, how? I can't seem to find the option for it.

Helmet Cam comes with cockpit view, as far as i can find you can't have the interior view without helmet cam and yes it's ruined cockpit view for me to.
When i heard bout helmet cam i thought wow that's what i've always wanted - To people who haven't used it, i thought it was going to be an amazing feature but i have found it a pain in the ass... The thought of helmet cam was better than the actual implementation.

When I cycle through the views, the one before helmet cam is just cockpit view.

I tried using that view for a while, it's cool, but I can't race my best with it, perhaps I will practice more.

Are you really trying to enjoy the game or you just like to complain?

There is a Cockpit camera and an helmet camera, and a hood camera (unlike GT5) and a chase camera and a bumper camera.

arent those enough cameras for you?

So theres plain old cockpit view? Yes

/sighofrelief

Whoops.. posted as tribolik posted.. question answered..

Thanks guys! It never occurred to me to cycle the views. I presumed it would be an option to enable/disable.

I cycled thru to the cockpit view without the helmet cam. MUCH better! It was making me dizzy and felt too floaty for my tastes. I can look at the apex on my own, thank you very much. ;)

Now I can drive much better. I have a feeling I'm going to love this game...

I like the helmet cam, but will have to get used to it. I don't drive nearly as well with it, as I seem to be off my line a bit going into turns.

I start to understand the trick with the helmet cam now, just try to keep the apex at the center of the screen.

The loss of grip feel seems to happen a lot earlier than you would expect. Maybe I just need to adjust the steering a bit but for me it seems the slightest turn will lose front end grip.
