Personally, I really really wish they do this because there isn't a single other good racing game on ps3 and I can only hope that polyphony adds the ability to look around your vehicles while driving. Similar to this video. This would make the game heaven. Just pause at 1:34.... look at that... PLEASE POLYPHONY ADD THIS FEATURE. Nearly every racing game in the market has it. I quite frankly don't care about damage models, looking around the car is a much better feature.

so do you know or think if polyphony will add this option? if not then I am definitely done. Might just play grand theft auto v instead when it comes out lol.

Enjoy your Grand Theft Auto:tup:👍

This would help very well in multiplayer. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this possible in GT5 with the Eye and Move?

Someone with connections to polyphony should really try to suggest this. This would make the game for fans that pay attention to detail. By not having the ability to look around the car, it really caters more to those only with a wheel. It is extremely boring without a wheel and having a stiff exterior view. It feels so restricted it doesn't feel right for a best seller racing game.

This feature doesn't matter at all. If you're driving with the Exterior camera you already have a clear view of what's right next to you. So it's pretty much pointless. And usually the sound tells you where the other cars are, so taking the time to look around will only be a waste of time and most likely will end up in you crashing.

And we already have this feature with the cockpit cam which is were it's most useful. If PD wants to add this type of camera, then I won't complain. But honestly, I could care less.

And okay dude, if you think it's a good GT6 replacement, then enjoy GTA 5. The games are pretty much the same genre, right? :dopey::dunce:

So you'll give up an entirely different game because another game with fake cars which aren't especially well modeled let you look at them?

It's actually very useful for getting a visual gauge on what the suspension is doing over specific sections of the track.

its very useful, fun, intuitive and is probably 100% beneficial. It makes the game feel ALIVE

It's done just for you to admire the car modeling and suspension work, it's not meant to be useful, remember, Gran Turismo is just a videogame, not everything has to be realistic or useful.

No, come on now! I'm the kinda person that likes the visual side of things enough to make me not use the Standards as often as I would like (but that might change with GT6 because of how much more immersive it feels using the cockpit view). So, something like what Forza/GTA have with the camera angles and using the joystick to scan around your car and look at the surroundings seems like a plus. There are a lot of "cruisers" out there and I do it from time to time, not needing to hotlap all off the time, so this would be beneficial to me.

And the beauty of the track. Don't forget the beauty! I'm so damn lame. BUT I'm actually serious.

This would make the game heaven.....

Being a drama queen might garner attention, but generally not the kind one would want. That is a mighty chasm between opinions, based on what most would view as a minor detail. Now, headtracking that shifts the image around between three screens, thus negating the need for three PS3s? That would be interesting. Extrapolate a blurred edge so that the screens are always displaying something vaguely in keeping in the periphery.... even better.

I gave my opinion thinking that OP would want the camera to make it useful for keeping track of other cars around him. Like during a race, which wouldn't be of much help.

I must admit however that with GT6's suspension model it must be a treat to be able to see it. Still, I don't think I'll get far without going out the track :D

I fully agree to it. I never understood for what they model the premium cars if you can't even enjoy them?! Sure you got the cockpit view. But you can only look left and right and not up and down. And the chase cam... whats the difference between standart and premium cars there? Wow you can see some better modelled taillights... But why can't you rotate the camera with the right analog stick around the car to enjoy the beauty of the premiums or watching the suspension work and your new custom wheels spinning ? .... Never understood it. Every single racing game out there on the market has this feature. Well it's not even a feature it's a natural gameplay element by now.

You can already look around inside. Just set it up in controls. However, I'd like it if they added exterior 360 Degree view

You can but only to a certain degree left and right. Not up and down.

Yes the 360° on exterior is really needed imo.

Whilst it's not possible in-race, we can use the photomode in replays to pan around a vehicle. Not ideal but a lot safer than having to wait until a straight to admire your car...

Also a lot better for seeing the suspension at work, because that doesn't happen much on the straights and you will prang if you do a 360 degree view while going through a chicane.

Thats exactly what I for example don't want. I want to see it in real time during time trails etc. Going to photomode pausing replayes wont help me and costs too much time just to watch the car . But well to each their own :)

Buddy don't hope your breath for this to be add to the gt series  i been asking for it since gt 3 :yuck::) As long as there are standard cars in the gt series this feature will never be add. Cause PD doesn't want you to see how bad the standards really are :nervous:

Only in cockpit view can look around. BTW on the video the smoke affect is so bad in Forza, thank god GT has better graphics

Enjoy it while you can...:)

I wouldn't mind it. Me and a friend were playing Forza 4 on his 360 yesterday. We were driving on Le Mans, and I was in a Ferrari Daytona (a car that needs to be in GT6). As I got onto the long straight, I proceeded to look around the car and admire the classic lines of it.

Now, I'm not saying I would use the feature alot. But, it would be a very nice feature to have when you just want to appreciate your car while driving it.
