Can you paint the car after putting vinyls ?

I've put vinyls and rims on cars but they are all gray (cars), can we change the color and if we can, how do you do it ? The painting option is awful, at least, what I've seen.

And how about numbers, haven't seen any... how can you put vinyls and stuff but no numbers ?

Nevermind, just found out how to custom paint... could have been easier to do... sigh.

Call me stupid but when I go to paint it won't let me change color. It only lets me edit whether its metallic, gloss and so on.

You need to mess with the hue and the 2 other options, that will change the car color. Took me a while to realize it was the only way to paint.

But I'm wondering where did they put the racing numbers to put on cars...

I heard there are not any numbers in the game. Not sure how true it is but wouldnt surprise me.

There are no number decals, as a matter of fact I don't think there are any individual alphanumeric decals period.

Imo, the paint shop in Shift 1 was much easier to use

OK since this is about paint let me ask a different but related question. Can you only change the paint hue in increments of 5? I can't seem to find a way on the PS3 to change by 1 at a time and sometimes the color I want is probably somewhere in between that 5 hue gap.

Speaking of things left out of painting/vinyls... Too bad they didnt let us paint our rims eh ? it would have been a nice addition to the game.
