Can you run tuned cars in daily races?

Afternoon all, daily race c has pp limit of 730. If you tune an eligible car to 730pp or less can you run the car in that tune?
No. BOP is on and tuning is disabled - and as far as I'm aware there is no stated PP limit at all.

You can only run tuned cars in Daily Races where tuning is enabled. Such as this week's Daily Race A.

Thanks

Reason I asked was just finished Race C, last 3 laps I set successive fastest laps, I was last but set the 3 fast laps, the car in front was 4 seconds ahead and I finished 6 behind, I don’t get how I lost time despite the fastest laps

eh you were not as consistent. How do you know you set the three fastest laps?

Because as I drove the laps it tells you on the interface doesn’t it, bottom line of the running order is who holds fastest lap - laps 13, 14 and 15 I saw Blue in every sector for those respective laps meaning successive fastest laps

Blue means YOUR fastest lap, not THE fastest lap. Purple means the absolute fastest lap out of everyone.

Consistent highest speed wins, not fastest laps (as long as this isnt every single lap, which would be again consistend highest speed).
To avoid any other questions: the fastest lap among all participants is shown directly below the ranking table.

You could have a 10 lap race, being 2nd on 9 of 10 and the other guy sets 9 fastest laps in consequence while you are behind by just 0.001 seconds each time, on the last lap the other guy makes a small mistake and you win, without ever having set the fastest lap.

Colour blind comrade, it looks blue to me…. I set the fastest lap in each of the last 3 laps, I get the mark at the end for Fastest Lap.

Don’t disagree with anything your saying, go back to original post. I’m punted off the track and Rejoin last. The car in front I pick up when I recover and start moving again - he is 4 and bit seconds in front of me. There are 4 laps to go. This was never about winning the race.

i set fastest laps on medium tyres in laps 13, 14 and 15 - how do i know they are fastest because my name appears on the leaderboard at the end of each lap - each lap is faster than the one before but despite this I end the race 6 and a bit seconds behind the car in front…. The point is how.

even I was a quicker than him by a nanosecond I would have 4 seconds behind him not 6

i know how to race, I know there are way faster folk than me and I’m good with that but the outcome here is hard to understand

Means you are slow in 12 out of 15 laps... Consistency again...
The race has two race tire compounds mandatory.
The most obvious possibility was you went to mediums in the end, when you where too much in the back already, with less weight on the car, put some fast laps, like those guys in the F1 that go for soft tires in the end just to get the Fastest Lap point. You just had the softer option with low weight in the end. And probably the other guys had a very different strategy that wouldn't do fastest laps in the end as they manage the tires on other way but are faster through the whole 15 laps

Thanks

I believe it's safe to say you made mess between purple times and blue times, sector times and lap times, the race restrictions (it's a BoP race, not a PP limited race), you are the fastest but lost time to the guy in front, nothing adds up in your story, I'm sorry.

That....is just not possible and wouldn't be explained by tuning anyway. Do you have a replay of this race you can share? It doesn't make sense.
