I have a quick question, and I searched.

I was going to the Audi Tune Shop with my Nuvolari Quattro today to get a racing suspension so I could lower it a bit for Photomode, and something puzzled me in the tune shop.

When you move the cursor to the Engine icon, it's like the turbo icon on an N/A car that can't be turboed. Why is this? Does the Nuvolari have a special engine? Is it a fuel cell car? Is it something else?

Good question, I've modded it a long while ago, I don't remember if I have installed the power upgrades but I do remember it didn't had much more power then it had stock.

But I think you can't modify all cars, there are cars which can be modified with only specific parts or absolutely no parts.

like the ford model t. i wanted to make a hot rod but no parts means no hot rod :indiff: try the lemans quattro if your a fan of fast audis. can't do much visually but you can boost it up to 868bhp and with super soft racing tires it just grips almost all the time with slight occasional oversteer just making things interesting!

p.s. they're releasing it next year sporting the retired "R8" badge!!!! :sly:

couldn't add to the post above but any ways..... heres my Audi lemans quattro. standard visually, 868bhp through the mid engined 4wd drivetrain! an awesome machine!:sly:

can't mod the nouvalari concept but still want a mentally quick Audi concept? build one of these!:sly:

Are you sure it's Mid-engined 4WD? That long front doesn't look that useless...

it is.
1) you can se it through the backwindow of the car if you try hard enough.
2) they are releasing the car and its going to be based on the Lambourgini Gallardo (mid engine 4wd)
there just isnt a drive train catagory for that in gt4. so just looks like the nice people at audi are trying to keep you safe by giving you pleanty of crumple zone to protect you if things go wrong. in real life the car is around the size of a ford focus. its just perspective.:sly:

(p.s. my head is full of useless junk like this.^ just got to vent it on here. sometimes i think i know too much  )

Basically, like the Peugeot 206 Turbo16?

Then it'd look better with a more Zonda-ish front...

I dissagree on that, I like the look of the R8, just ecause the car is mid-engined doesn't mean you should give it that generic mid-engined supercar shape. I'm happy that they haven't myself and in this instance, the car looks better for it.

it could be made smaller. the basic style it good i just feel its a little over pronounced. something more like the gallordo its based on would be awesome :sly:
(especially since it'll only cost £70,000) (ps. ferrari f430 is £120,000)

This one is still ok, but the newer R8 spy-photos in that thread on the Car News subforum took the "Non-midengined" look too far and made the front too low. They just need to round it out a bit, in my opinion, and it'd be perfect. Finally, a mid-engine with some good storage-space...

ferrari f430 for storage space. top gear did a road trip with the Ford GT, Pagani Zonda and the Ferrari F430. they had to put all the luggage in the ferrari. who ever thought a ferrari would prove more practical than a ford!!!!
(p.s. the R8 will be full of diff in the front and engine in the back so boot space looks scarce!) :sly:

Did you see the TopGear episode with the Ariel Atom? "Look, it's even got a boot!"

yeh..... a boot thats smaller than a glove box! id still buy one though! unless i could have a caterham:sly:

*TopGear presenter (choose one of them) voice* Actually, you could have two Caterhams for the price of one Atom. Or, if you are willing to spend some time and build those Caterhams yourself, you can have two Caterhams, and a Superbike, for the same price. Or one Caterham with a super-turbo-charged Superbike engine, and that Superbike, with engine.

(I was looking at Caterham prices yesterday - a regular-spec 'Ham with 120BHP costs 12k Pounds as a kit...

exactly my point! quick and cheap is ALWAYS best!!!! (except maybe girls....maybe  )

I'm currently building a pretty weird thing with a friend of mine... We're trying to weld two bicycles together, put a wheel-less shopping-trolley inbetween as a seat, and, if lucky, add an engine later. For now, we're still looking for the parts we need, but when the engine will be on, it'll take 0.1 second from 0 to top speed, since top speed, we think, won't be much higher than 10KM/h

Do you have a link for it, Gingiba?

Anyways, back to my original question. Is there a reason that you can't modify the Nuvolari Quattro?

i think it because Audi thinks its car is soooooooo special that you shouldn't change anything or you might ruin there precious baby!!! (or something along those lines.)

I already tried to modify it. If you don't understand me, here's pictures of what I mean.

Cannot modify turbo/supercharger on a Ford GT.

Cannot modify engine on an Audi Nuvolari Quattro.

As you can see, the Engine icon on the GT Screen is highlighted. But not on the Nuvolari's.

So, is there a reason?

So, is there a reason?

Yes.

I finally figured out what you meant. Most of the tuned cars or concept cars or high-power cars have some degree of tuning already completed. On this car, the Chip and the two irreversibles were "installed". However, NOS isn't an option, and re-bore probably too. And since the car is Turbo, the NA tuning is shut, too. Therefore, there is no reason to enter the Engine-tune section. However, on the Ford GT, since it's NA, the Turbo section is closed.

Another car which can't have nitrous is the Chapparral 2J, where it appears the same.

i got what was meant with the engine menu, just not the "havn't tried to modify it" bit but hey it dosn't matter. like i said way way back in this thread. try the lemans quattro if you want a fast cool modifyable audi concept car. (read my previous posts for more details):sly:

Thanks, Gingiba! Perfect answer. This thread can be closed now. :)👍
