Cannot save any of my own liverys

Had a weird issue with creating liveries in gt7. Once I am finished and try to exit GT Auto, I am forced to wait as the game shows me the 0% saved thing, then it flashes and gives me a message that says "error, failed to save style." The error code is af-1b0800. This issue does not apply to other users liveries that I save in my collection. Anyone else have this issue or any solutions?

So, helpfully, there is no list of error codes that I can find anywhere which includes "AF" codes. However the only previous occurrences of it pointed to connection errors (in Daily Races, bizarrely).

You can try the various connection issues fixes in this pinned thread, but otherwise 🤷‍♂️

I also was unable to find this error code ANYWHERE else, so maybe it's a unique glitch? I'll try the things listed in that thread when I get home next week. Currently away from home.

OK did you use decals? Were they downloaded in game or did you create them yourself?

Have you looked at the storage available in options? If the number for "OTHER" is above 50%, you will have problems with liveries. The only way to reduce that number is to delete game from PS and reload from disc or PS library.
I had similar issues and my "other" was 72% so I dumped game and re-loaded and my number went down to this...

Not sure but I believe AF- relate to "application failure" whereas CE- relate to "connection error"...

I used custom decals on some designs, but most I just used the patterns and whatnot on the livery editor.

I haven't checked that, but I don't think that's the issue. I have been having this issue since I unlocked GT Auto in the menu books. I have only been able to apply one livery, and that was strangley when I put the PS4 into rest mode while saving. I have tried this strategy many times since, but it has never worked.

CE is "common error". I've yet to see AF codes logged anywhere, even in places that specialise in this sort of thing and have dumped every possible error code from the system.

I was going on the thought of the first two letters of the error code, CE = Common Error and that leads to common thinking that AF may possible be Application Failure (?)

just thinking out loud....

It's so strange, because I know that it's the right code but I haven't been able to find this code ANYWHERE. by the way, thanks for attempting to help me 🙂

And thank you @jrbabbitt and @Mafio

I found this on a random tech forum

Sounds logical. I dont think we can do such with Playstation but I think this moves the needle in the correct direction.
