Cant connect to interet need help please

could someone help me. i just bought GT6, but im not allowed to connect my ps3 to the internet so i cant update it. is there any other way to do this? i think i read that you can download the updates onto a USB using a computer, but i cant find it on google. please help!

Take it to a friend's house and update there. There's really no other options unless someone in your neighborhood has an open WiFi connection or will allow you to connect to their WiFi router.

Out of curiosity, why aren't you allowed to connect it to the net?

Please do not assume that just because he can't connect to the internet means he must be 10. it is not fair to assume this, and it can also be quite patronising.

I don't actually know my dad decided that a portable USB disk was better idea than WiFi? But he won't let me connect to the net with it. But i will see whether i can use a friends WiFi. Thank-you

He is probably allowed to use the family PC for browsing.

And he is probably not allowed to connect his PS3 because the USB dongle connection must have a limited data allowance.

Yes, the USB also isn't the best of connections so it only works at places where you are right up next to a window or exit.

I never attached any negativity to the statement and was trying to understand what the problem was myself. Relax.

Search for a signal on your PS3, you may get lucky with a neighbours Wi-Fi or a hotspot.
