Can't start a remote race

When I hosted a race this morning and got all my friends drivers ready to go, I went to start the race. I then received this message:

"Unable to retrieve race start information from the game server."

And then it kicks me back out. I have my PS3 in server standby mode and it is on so I don't honestly know what the problem is. Can someone help me out, thanks.

Problem manual and trough b-spec widget, Cannot connect to any of the Sony servers.

Hopefully be back up soon enough.

I am having the same issue. Haven't been able to start a race all day.

Unable to connect to server says they are doing maintenance. 👎

Change the location server in the remote race widget
Or try it manualy on GT5 Home site
US website with EU game = remote racing still.
so might just be US game servers.
Yep lots of US playstation sites are slow.

I'm getting the "Unable to retrieve race start information from the game server." error now...through website and widget just stops running..

I seem to be having issues today starting the races with the widget. I can reserve drivers but when it tries to start it can't and then resets and goes through the driver reservation process. Its been like this for the last two hours.

Try a widget/PS3 restart and/or "force reauthentication", that might do it. Especially if you've added new friends recently.

Have you downloaded the latest PS3 update 3.66 ?
