Can't use voice to get pit updates?F1 2021

I'm playing F1 2021 on the PS5 and I'm unable to use my voice to ask questions of Jeff.

It's probably a silly thing for most of you who have better reflexes than I do, but when I try to scroll down to the question I want to ask it takes my eyes off the track and negatively impacts my racing. I struggle enough as it is with my eyes on the track. Lol

Does it just not work or am I doing something wrong or is there a setting that I haven't toggled correctly?

Voice commands don’t work on the new consoles, it’s the same in 22. iirc this is a problem on Sony and Microsoft’s end.

I also prefer using this over scrolling through menus while driving, it was a very good qol feature. I’m surprised it hasn’t been addressed yet.

The ONLY reason I bought this game was to be able to use that feature. Ugh!

I would have stayed with 21 if I knew this ahead of time. My fault. I should have asked the question before I purchased.
