Is it me or did the update switch the gold time from 1:39 to 1:40 or did the update delete a preference I had set up to make it more difficult?

I think the update wiped out all the online times and all your preferences mate. Wouldn't be fair to leave times in place that were set using old physics and different penalties. As for the preferences, I have to believe there should have been a way for them to save those for you.

I agree with you about the fairness of online times, but what i meant was that 1:39 was time to get gold now it is a second slower at 1:40

Ah do you mean for the offline event? That seems strange given that with more grip it should be easier to get a good time. Maybe this is an example of PD dumbing the game down a bit, making it easier to get golds than before?

Yeah, I repeated that time trial earlier and easily got a 1.40 within a few easy laps, and I also noticed that you can slipstream cars alot easier.
