This is where GT6 shines, because it will take players a while to move through the game, and the incrementally higher difficulty presented by each new level will keep you hooked. We breezed through the Novice level in about an hour, but upon reaching the next step, National B, we faced seemingly exponentially more races and noticeably harder racing.

Were they using their FIT the whole time?

We didn’t spend any time in Online mode, mostly because it wasn’t very populated during our pre-release review. Even so, based on our experience with GT5, it should prove nearly as engrossing as Career mode.

And now they're talking out their rear, as GT5's online was abysmal the whole way through its life cycle, and career mode is hardly engrossing unless you run cars that are at least 100+ PP under the maximum.

I see that they're trying to keep a neutral stance on the game, but they've really stretched the truth on certain aspects (no, not every standard has premium-quality exteriors) and completely omitted aspects they must have noticed being car reviewers, most notably the sound engine.

Thoughts?

maybe they tried to look at it from the average gamers point of view, most people wouldnt notice an issue(I don't until someone points it out or I drive a car I've drove in real life)..either way if they had fun with it kudos to them, either way its just an opinion, thats all reviews are

I agree that they missed out on a lot of stuff that they must've noticed.

But keep in mind that they probably aren't huge GT gamers like us! They're just car enthusiasts, average gamers.

And to an average gamer who's a car enthusiast, it's probably a super cool game!

Either way it's just somebody's opinion, the lovely thing is we're all allowed to have our own. 👍

To be fair, some of the the races I've had in I-A so far have been amazing. Just take a car that's a bit underpowered, and the A.I will keep up. Though that's after they slow down a lot and wait for you to catch up.

This.

Although I'm not a fan of the rubber-banding, I will GLADY take this over GT5's AI.

I'm in IA as well, and it's been a while since I've had as much fun as those karting races!

Even in the rest of the races, you don't have to have much slower of a car to have a hell of a race against the AI! Even if you race in an equally powered car, you can still have a really good race!

No I don't like rubber banding AI but I'm not going to deny the fact that: A) they did a pretty good job of not overdoing it, and B) it makes the races really exciting.

I'm with you Tonystew42, C & D review is rubbish. Maybe it would be a bit challenging to someone who had never tried GT5, but for anyone else the first few levels are sooooo easy its not funny and the AI are just as stupid as they were in GT5. Online racing is a real let-down simply because I can no longer see my former in-game friends because they no longer show their PSN nicknames. Aaaaaaarrrrggggghhhhhh !!!! :banghead:

Man you sound incredibly depressing and negative. GT5's online was/is fantastic. It doesn't even sound like you've played GT6. The AI is pretty feisty even beginning at the National A levels. I only move ahead with golds so I'm always welcoming a good challenge and I am not disappointed. It's not oppressive or over the top but I think at the level it is, it's great for where one is in their progression through the title and I fancy myself as a good pilot. Not only that, but it makes me look forward to the B,A, and Super when I get the time!

It's so easy for people to come online and spout off garbage nonsense and FUD, but in the end GT6 will be another great installment to the series and tons of hours will have been spent driving it. If you don't like GT then why comment and why not drive something else? What's the point of trying to bag on it? Have you developed a racing sim yourself? If not, then why not? Just questions I'd like to know...:gtplanet:

Maybe because the community feature isn't in GT6 yet? It's said to added in a update on January when its available. Even I agree it's silly that your PSN names on online. :\
