dont want to sound like a spaz, but in addition to all the racing i really like how PD has brought back all the descriptions for all the cars before you buy them. i remember in gt2 hitting that info button to learn the brief history of certain models befor purchasing them. then they took the feature out of gt3 and 4. i had to start wiki ing cars to find out a little history. now they even have info on the racing models. anybody else bother reading that stuff.

I love reading that stuff! I remember in the GT2 era how I learned a LOT about many cars. That was the same time as I was starting to get interested in cars, so I went kind of nerdy in no time att all :D

Car infos were removed from GT3/4??!!??!! I would never have guessed (never played GT3/4 myself). I very well hope it returns to GT5 as well.

As for the Catalogs in PSP, yes I also read every single one that I came across :).

No it wasn't removed from GT3/4 but it was presented in a different way. GT:PSP does it like GT2 used to do it. I like it and I hope it's presented this way in GT5.

It wasn't in GT3/GT4, that side scrolling (pure awful) text gave some info on each manufacturer not this level of detail on each model.

You are right :(

The text car info in GT PSP is so deep as in GT2 with: history, engines, sizes, years, car features, oddities...?

I agree that the implementing of the catalogue information was a good choice, i could spend hours just going through the showrooms reading up on the cars available.

Its fun to read and get a little insight.

Even though there are 800 cars in the game PD manages to make them have there own distinct feelings.

75% of racers out there seem like the cars are the same and they just have more or less points in handling, accel, speed, brake.... They all feel like the same car with more or less points. In GT its fun to drive each car since they all have there own quirks. Like the way AE86s have that unique fishtail to the way F1 cars stick all the turns in almost any gear.

There is actually a point to buying and trying out new cars. When you play other games its all the same. Just by car x, y or z cause they have the most points and will be at the front of the pack online. When you play GT online you get surprised by some of the cars that opponents manage to pass you in.

Another nice thing is that the cars still carry more or less the same feeling with them throughout other GT games. If you like car X in GT3 you will still like it in GT5P (if its even there lol).

I like this feature too. However, they accidentally put the Silverado's info for the Corvette C1, but I'm just being picky here.

I really like having the descriptions back myself. It's cool to see info on some of the original cars PD came up with (LM editions, etc), and also on rare cars that don't have much info online.

Best addition from Gt4 for me. After reading the 787B's description I'm going to have to find the 1991 le mans race from 18th to 1st with only 3 hours left sounds good.
