Car colour problems

I bought a couple of cars, but the problem is that they change colours. (My Ferrari 599, Lexus ISF and Nissan GT-R change to white while the Jaguar changed to british racing green)

Is it coincidence that these colours are the first in line of choice buying a car?

My Ferrari F430(red) changed back to my chosen colour(after being white) but i don't know why.

Does anyone have a solution? :grumpy:

I've heard of some people having this problem before, but I've never had it happen to me personally. What version of the game are you using? Spec 2 or 3? I'm not sure if this has to do with it, but it could be a factor.

I don't know what version i am using. (i don't have an internet connection on PS3)

So you are using the old version.. Either still SPEC I or II

Hmm get decent DSL, and update the game.. or go to friends house, bring your PS3 and udate.. It is free to use Online on PS3 and free to update.. (as well update the system ;)

So much have change since your version. It feels like totally new game almost because of so much physics change.. So update it.

Car colours changing (mostly to white) is a known problem, it seems to relate to quick tuning.

I think when you quick tune it probably changes some sort of config file for that car that also contains colour info, might somehow corrupted the colour which reverts back to base white or first colour in the colour choices. This is rare and has never happened to me.

This is promising to me actually because it probably shows that different colours are actually painted on rather than the whole exterior model changed (like in GT4), which means painting cars will probably be really easy and a option we may get in GT5. :D
