Car licenses in future

In Resetera forum, anyone posted, he could imagine Microsoft buy all car licenses exclusively.

I have asked me this question, could that work anyway? I only know, Porsche had had in history an exclusive agreement with EA.

That would mean the monopole for Microsoft racers.

What do you come in mind here about?

That's not gonna happen. It would be financial suicide for brands to sign that type of deal, not to mention the massive negative PR that comes along with it and I'm sure Porsche learned their lesson.

Sounds like the doomer garbage resetera would spew. Try posting anything remotely critical of Xbox and see how long your account will last.

Anyone with enough money could do that - Microsoft, Sony, Google, Amazon - but car companies are unlikely to make such an agreement. They want as much exposure as possible for their products, and limiting it to one platform won't achieve that.

T10 have said many times they do not have interest in doing exclusive deals for content. Now T10 =/= MS, they aren't the ones doing deals, but I see no reason they'd suddenly change their approach and be happy if the suits suddenly started negotiating exclusive deals. People constantly claim that the Top Gear Track was exclusive but I've never seen a hint of evidence.

Sony/PD on the other hand, are known with 100% certainty to have held the exclusive rights to Pikes Peak for the last 5 years and haven't even used it.

So you judge who is most likely to do this sort of thing....
