Ok Hi,

im new to this form and new to gran turismo the game in itselfs and i have one huge question in my point of veiw * the answer will probaly tell me if its that huge or not* but anyways about getting milage on ur cars in GT4, does having tomuch mileage greatly decrease your cars performance? and if so what would be the cut off line to sell ur car that has to much mileage and get a new one

*im asking this becuase i dont want to have to use my formula gran turismo race car, and then race Nurburgring Nordscheife (24 Hour Endurance) AGAIN*

Thanks,
Hopedzero

Well, welcome to the GTP!

Regarding the Formula GT Racecar... That car is special and never changes regardless of how many miles are put on the car. 👍

However, every car other than the FGT will change with mileage. Generally speaking the power will go down over time and the chassis will loosen. Power loss is low if you keep up on oil changes and chassis changes can be good and bad. As you may notice, the option for "refresher" to the chassis is availible and at times this works well, at other times the refresher may negatively affect the handling of the car.

So, the rule of thumb is basically...
Mileage on the Formula car does not matter, nothing will ever change.
The mileage on any other car can bring down the hp slightly but it can also change the handling of the car for better or worse (experiment to find out if a refresher works well for the car and you should be fine!).

Hope that helps.

Ah, that answers what I wondered once too, that the Formula GT isn't effected. I suspected as much because you couldn't get oil changes and car washes or have a place to buy parts like the Refresher Plan.

thanks alot now that ends my worry =D

*Btw into 20 hours into Circuit de la Sarthe 24h II*

Great, glad to hear about the enduro too.
Good luck and feel free to stop in at the GT4 general chat thread to discuss your race (or search for something a bit more fitting).
Since the question is answered and further discussion could go elsewhere, I say this is a closed case. 👍
