I'm no Aussie, and I don't know the most about Falcons. I'll go with the 1973 one, it looks the closest to an American muscle car, not to mention it's the best looking Falcon on the list.

The '71 XY GT-HO Phase III would be my personal favorite because it's a looker. When you have four doors, a chin spoiler, rear wing, a big ol' 351 with an Mustang sourced engine scoop, you'll get a few good looks from people around you in one of these.

I think he is just suggesting that the Tickford EB II highly resembles the styling of the Lotus Carlton, which I agree with.
