Car setups saving for wrong car !!!!!!!!!!

I read on another site about if you go into the car setup even if you don't change anything the car handles and drive really bad and if you don't go into car setup its fine .I have done the Ginetta championship and then started the Clio one and the Clio was undriveable it would just rotate and spin out all the BLOODY TIME, I played with the Cilo created and saved different setups for a few hours in the career mode then last night i checked and tried to save a new setup in private testing and there was no other car setups saved already which I thought was strange??.I took photos of my new Clio setup in private testing and it was totally different to the ones in the championship ....It looks like that it saved the Ginetta setup for the Clio which is why the Clio is **** to drive,but i change them and it is AWESOME now and it finally feels like a racing game.......Maybe this is the problem with all the handling problems everyone is having........................

Yeah I've got a feeling this may have happened to me too (going to try and look through the tuning settings next time I play for evidence of it), as certain cars have felt like they handled distinctly differently when I used them today compared to yesterday, after having driven different cars and saving settings on them beforehand.

This is a known issue and fixed in a patch soon.

The car setups section seems to have a few bugs in it. I have already accidentally overwritten my setups with semi default or older setup values on more than one occasion so far. I have had the game switch setups on me between races several times and I have saw setups disappear then reappear several times. Looks like there are at least 3 issues there.

try this test only:
choose a car from the GTR class and run a few laps without changing settings, then choose a car from the RX class and run a few laps without changing settings, then choose a car from the GTR class again without changing settings and the miracle of reincarnation happens , the GTR class car assumes the sensitivity of the RX class car and is totally impossible to drive.
Note: It happens with any class and car but it becomes more evident in certain classes.

There's definitely some inconsistencies I noticed online at Road America GT3 last night.
During qualifing the car felt tight, tons of grip, put down some fast times.
During the race with the exact same setup it was very loose, unpredictable.
I haven't noticed the save applying to other cars as I'm just focused on a specific GT3 car right now.

I've had this in the G55 GT4, the Porsche Cayman GT4 and now the Ligier LMP3. The latter I took a video of.

All I did was change the fuel load on default setup and the car was completely undrivable. So I'm guessing this is what you've been experiencing:-

I've had no oversteer issues.
What I have noticed quite often is I'll adjust fuel to 25, when the race starts I'll have 66.3 or some other random number.
I'm confident SMS are working hard to patch these minor issues.

This, yes this - I am getting this!! totally unpredictable handling - i try to iron it out with controller and set up changes, but nope, lap to lap and session to session, it changes so fundamentally - and this is just in Community challenges!!

Thought so. There is a live streamer on YT who was having the same problem in the Clio right from the off -

This issue needs communicating to SMS. I'm banned from their forum for making the mistake of stating the sale of goods act and listing where PCARS 2 breaches these... Then they eventually deleted the 5-page-long thread when other people started spouting up too. Ho-um...
