Carbon hood glitch

I thought this was kind of strange. I installed an unpainted carbon hood on a Alfa 8C. But when I entered a race, and drove with the cockpit view, the hood was painted the same color as the car again!
Has anyone else experienced this??

I have a Silvia S13 tuned for drifting. I had a problem with this as well, except I think mine would reset after a ps3 restart. (yes, i saved data beforehand) After having to reinstall the hood a few times, it seems to have magically fixed itself. Hopefully you'll get as lucky, lol.

I had a problem where I lost all update on my NSX Type-R, yet on the car selection I could see it had the carbon hood and the wing on the back, was very weird.
