Career bar in B-Spec?

What is thew career bar in b-spec? I've got 2 B-spec drivers to level 6/7 and noticed that the career bar in their stats, which is grey is very very slightly increasing, its no longer empty. Although still grey.

What does the career bar indicate? How do you get it to increase/decrease and is it a good thing or does it mean nothing?

If it fills up does that make your driver better or does he start to get 'past it' when the career bar hits a certain level?
 
It fills up really slowly, once it is full your driver's stats start to decrease. It's like they have retired I guess.
 
I think it's how long he has before he retires and you have to start a new driver's career.

I'm not sure, I think it's 500 races and then he retires, but I'm not 100% sure..??

It doesn't make him a better driver though, giving him the right car for the right event, tuned and setup in the right why is just as, if not more important than his skills.

I started new drivers when I got to level 22, straight away I gave them very fast cars to drive and they could easily do fast laps in them, but you also have to manage their attitude / temper, as this very important too.
 
I don't think it matters how many races that specific driver does but how many races have been done in B-Spec in general. For example if you start three drivers at the same time and only race one, all three will still increase in the career bar from what I can see.

Can anyone confirm?
 
Anyone know for sure what it actually means? I have a B-spec driver with 500+ races and class 40 but career is not filled yet.
