Great shot's Carlos, I would love to go next year, I'll see what F1 race I'm going to before I decide, could you move about or did you have to stay at that spot

How much do you recon you would spend while you were there (ticket prices etc.)

Thanks for the great pics Carlos. 👍

Thanks and no problem :D

Thanks! F1 race is cool too but I think a bit more expensive than 24h of Le Mans.. Not that it was cheap, at all.

The circuit access ticket was 80 euros
Pitlane grandstand 80 euros
Tribune at Dunlop corner was 70 euros
Tribune at Ford chicane was 80 euros

If you want to buy food and drinks at the circuit, you easily lose your money on that. A large beer was €8,50 (but go get a real cool cup with Le Mans cars on it, wich ofcourse you can take home). Food is ehm, strange.. They only have french baguettes with sausage and fries. Yes, fries IN the baguette. Ofcourse I ordered this (€9,50 AHUM AHUM)

Was it worth it........... No! Only the sausage was nice  I wanted to buy model cars too, hoped they would go for a soft price but the only detailed ones I saw were 200 + euros :( They had other food too. Baguettes with different sausages... So keep in mind, bring your own food with you if you stay 24 hours.

There were alot of people who only had access to the circuit, they camped behind the fences all day but a good tribune is worth the money. The tribune at the Ford chicane is really really good, it's close to the circuit and you sit dry at all time. (That is where all the pics above were taken) Grandstand above the pits was meh, you couldn't see the car pitting (only the pit-lane). And I recommend a ticket in the Dunlop corner (just before or in the middle), then you can see the cars coming from the straight all the way into the Dunlop corner. I chilled for a couple of hours there just enjoying and seeing all the overtaking happening there. Pics from that corner are coming (probably) tomorrow.

Also a good thing to know, if you buy a ticket, you buy a seat. During the day it's better to stick with your own seat but after 2/3 hours you can sit where you want because alot of people only wanted to check the start or went to other tribunes. At first I was a little dissappointed with my seat at the Dunlop corner because I sat low and behind the fence but after 2 hours I had the best spot :D

I hoped this helped you 👍

Wow nice pictures! I really like the Aston Martin Vantage, did you get any photos of the Deltawing?

I paid 28Euro in 2009 for 6 coca colas in Rome, near the Coloseum. Then we found a grocery store near our apartment. 2l coke for 1.75Euro. The wine 2l for 2.50Euro....

Great pics man....makes me want to fly across the pond........Hey I just read that if you are at the race they have a demo booth of Forza Horiizon somewhere...You get a chance to see/play it???

No grocery store near Le Mans :indiff:

I searched for it but didn't see any Forza activity... Only some advertising on the big screens but that was before the race.. Would have liked to play it especially since my thoughts are pretty negative about the game. Guess I'll have to wait for the release..

I tried but got blurry ones. I'll try to sharpen one for you..

Thanks, if it's causing you trouble then just leave it I just have an odd fascination with the Deltawing. All that food sounds quite expensive, at different events I've found that if you walk around a bit there is always someone selling for a lot cheaper than the others, sometimes I've even found people in the car parks running a mini business paying no attention to the actual event.

Thanks Hennessey! That's correct!

I have a soft spot for the DeltaWing too. I was so so so dissappointed when the crash happened :( Too soon in the race. I tried to make a nice photo out of the blurred ones but it's not happening.. Sorry.. I found some other nice DW photos for you: (they are 5616 x 3744, nice wallpaper material!)

Everything was pretty organised at Le Mans, 24 hour security at the parking too. I don't think it was legal to sell your own food there... They even checked my bags and let me take out all the stuff..

Thanks for the new wallpaper and more awesome pictures. I don't think I've ever been to an event where they check your bags, most of the time they just check the car boot for alcohol and glass but with an event as big as this I guess they can make more money.

Excellent photos Carlos =) Next time I want to come too!

You should! Or wait for 2014.. Porsche is entering next year, Mazda is too with their new engine but 2014 we get alot of changes for LMP1. All hybrids! I think I'm skipping 2013 and go again in 2014..

No problem! :D
I don't know if they checked everyones bag but they did ours, twice.. It's also handy to know a little bit French. Only the nice girls I talked to tried to speak English for me :indiff:
