Cars that are similar to the S2000?

The S2000 is one of my favorite cars IRL and it is a lot of fun in GT5 too.
So I drive a lot, but I was wondering if there are other cars that are similar.
The things I like about the S2000 are that it RWD, not too heavy, nice engine, not too much power (but enough), 50/50 weight distribution etc...
Is there a car who has this too or comes close too it?

The 86GT comes near, but I don't think it has that good weigh distribution... also N/A, also enough power, also RWD...

MR2, MX-5. The MR2 has always been my favorite of this kind of car.

I would go for the Nissan Silvia S13-S14. The MR2 suggested by a friend earlier is middle-engined and has "snappier" handling.

As a few guys have suggested already, RX-8 is a good bet, though for fun and with the right tune/set-up the MR2 GT is a blast.

The S2000's are also among my favorite cars to drive. I hope to buy a used 02/03 S2000 in a year or two. Incredible car ! As for scars that drive similar. The Miata is similar. Different in ways but very very stable RWD car. I personally haven't used the RX-8 much but the mid 90's RX-7's are also incredible cars. Very stable and predictable. A little more oversteer than the S2000 but the RX-7's have incredible turn in and apex grip. Give one a try. The Mugen S2000 is also a gem.

My favorite S2000 is the Spoon S2000 Race Car detuned to 257hp. The Spoon S2000 '00 second. Other than that, the RE Amemiya FD3S (100, 000Cr.), RX8 and 1991 RX7 are so easy to control. The 86 TRIPLETS have awesome turn in response, mid-corner and off-throttle front end grip.
