I can name a few but not many. Between January 1, 2005, and December 31, 2006, I'd venture than 80% of the auto industry will either be redesigned, restyled, or debut. I hope everybody's ready!!!

That's all I've got.

Oh, and this:

The best thing about Dynasty was the hidden message in the last five letters of its name. It's one of just a couple vehicles that won't be redesigned between January 1, 2005, and December 31, 2006 (partially because its descendant, the Chrysler 300, was just introduced/redesigned).

Why meddle with the Imperial, when you can go all out and get one of these bad boys?

Sadly, there are no messages in LeBaron. Other than the fact that LeBaron just screams luxury, speed, and fun.

Hey man, I don't hate. It's a compliment for me to even mention another car in the same breath of air as the LeBaron.

There is no doubt the Imperial is an amazing automobile capable of amazing feats of amazement, but it can barely hold a wick to the amazing prowess of the LeBaron.

I can one-up you all with really crappy Chryslers (though I actually think the worst one so far was the Dynasty - the Imperial was somewhat luxurious and the LeBaron wasn't so bad).

My mum and dad had an '88 Eagle Premier. One of the first made. It was actually a very nice car. Started falling apart after being rebuilt following a major collision though. She (my mum) still says it was the best car she's ever owned. Most reviews at the time viewed the Premier as very Audi-esque. Not surprising I guess considering how closely it resembles the Audi 5000.

Interestingly the LH-body cars' design was based heavily upon the Premier.

If anything the fact that the Viper used the Premier's rear disc brakes has to redeem it somewhat.

If I had a choice of which sedan I'd want in '88 the Premier would be pretty far up there. I certainly wouldn't want, say, a Ford Taurus of the same vintage... :yuck:

I always thought the nice Eagle Premiers were cool, but nobody agreed - if you have practically nothing to spend on a car but still want something decent, a Premier is a good idea. I like it more than the Dodge Monaco because the good Premier trims were better-looking, but I suppose the Monaco was okay too.

Still, fifteen years on I'd say most of the Premiers are now falling apart.

The odd thing is that it was originally a Renault!

Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The '88 to...'90 I think...(I can't remember exactly which model year was given a refresh by Chrysler) models wore 'design Giugiaro' badges on the sides of the car.

More than likely. Then again, most cars of the period aren't fairing all that well nowadays (even the almighty Hondas and Toyotas, now matter how many Consumer Reports subscribers and Asian 16 year olds state the contrary). My '90 Dodge Spirit being a glaring exception (it's in great shape :) ).

An offshoot of the Renault 25. The Premier and 25 don't actually share many parts. They used different engines, transmissions, body panels, interior pieces, suspension...

The vague resemblance is the only thing giving away their relation.
