Cars that have surprised you!

Which cars to you have surprised you, either in looks, speed, corning, or just over all fun! Today what made me think of this was the Holden w427 which corners pretty good, and has good speed.

The HONDA CIVIC SRi, i think it is, this car is amazing the chassis must be awesome IRL.
Basically if i drive a stock car and it feels and handles as well as a car like this i know the chassis is good, which means it can take much much more power, much the same as the CIVIC 07, but this car i'd say is better. It is almost a CIVIC with a boot, but i promise if you want a strong foundation for a very good FWD touring car then this fits the bill!
It was awesome in Shift 2 which is where i first came across this car. cheack it out.

Lamborghini Countach, expected it to be a little, well, 80s, but it handles superb and is pretty quick as well.
Mazda Furai, sticks to the road like a scalectrix and is pretty hard to lose control of, makes up for its low top speed.
Mercedes SLK, this is almost a bigger suprise than the Countach, it handles so beautifully, pointy front end and the back obeys you, great fun.

The NSX Race car Takata one - its incredible, I just got my MS Wheel and it just seems you can give this car as much shoe as you want (I dont play with TCS) and leave it up to controlling the car with the wheel !

-Lexus LFA With some minor tuning this is an excellent car for most any class.
-RWD Celica Another car that handles very well with minor tuning. Also drifts very well.
-Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. Not only does this car look amazing it handles very well.
-Trueno RWD drift car. This thing is just so easy to control and drift with. Had a lot of fun running this car for the Kaido rivals mode. I think I have around 48,000 points in the Rivals Kaido event. Not the greatest but still really good IMO.
-Dodge Dart I had no idea this car was so light and handled that well. Especially as a drag car. I have run a 10.7 with my A class Dart. Yes my A class 597 dart with 498 hp. Best time I ran in rivals mode was 10.9 but on the leaderboards I was able to run a 10.7 1/4 mile.

Dodge Dart glitch mobile!! lol for sure every single time a fool online launches his old yank tank off the line and leaves everyone in its dust it suprises me for sure!!

Why oh why did they make all the yank tanks glitched??

The Dodge Dart :I have a class R3 Dodge Dart (769 ) and that thing is really fun & amazing for drag racing, my best time is a 8.70 in the 1/4 mile. My Class A Dodge Dart ( 597 ) ran a 10.7 in the 1/4 mile, fun stuff.

I forgot to mention the Zonda. The same one from the demo. That car handles so amazing for such a fast car. Very easy to control.

The car that was way worse than expected was the Ultimate Aero. I have all assists off and that car just is impossible for me to drive. Something around 1,300 hp. I do like the cool flaps that pop out of the rear for the brakes but dang that car is tough to drive so I just sold it.

The other day, I drove the Pagani Zonda R. I didn't meant to drive that car but my friend wanted to drive it around the Touge. The things that crossed my mind was the car will be tough to drive, accelerate like madness, real damn heavy around the corners and brakes would feel terrible.

Instead, the opposite way happened. It feels so good and it really, really suprises me to how well the car is. In the end I spent like countless laps just going around the Touge and show my friend how I'm appreciating the car. And the sound was just magnificent...!

Another car that suprised me - in a bad way is the Bugatti Veyron. I knew it was going to be very tough to drive but didn't know it was going to be so tough on what I consider a fast enough circuit like the Hockenheim. I drove 2 laps and abandoned the car because... I see no point for me to drive a car that heavy to turn and rubbish with brakes.

I love the SSC Aero. It's a properly animalistic car. With a wheel and no aids I never have the wheel pointing in the same direction the car is going, and the sound on a big enough system will blow your eardrums out compared to other cars.

The Nova SS surprised me, great little car for class racing.

My surprising car this week has been the Volvo S60R. I bought it just to run a few races and gain free parts, but it's really come into its own, as I've mentioned before. I've actually been running it just for fun lately, which is something I need to do more of now that I'm at 213 cars... some I haven't even driven yet!

The other car that surprised me the most in F3 and still in F4 is the Mercedes Gullwing. Not only is it stunning to look at but it handles very well in just about any event between drifting and racing.

I also agree with the 190 E Mercedes. Another great car.

Overall, I'm having a blast with various tunes of the Shelby Daytona. It's got a long front wheelbase, but it actually enables you to "snake" around the corners. Get the back end set up right, and it sits down and takes off. Even with it's highest-class tune, it still blows away everything.

I also love the Zonda (newest models very driveable), and many other fine "real" cars. I also like driving the older Datsun/Nissan models, and I have an old Vette I've set up to surprise the "new kids."

Some crazy cars and tunes for fun...

Ford RS200 - INSANE car, especially tuned. If you can keep it under control, it'll blow away everything else. I have some funny videos showing it launching past a herd of GT cars.

I've also tuned the old Skyline. You can swap engines and drive train and tune it up to R2. It can get away from you (got a video of a spectacular corkscrew end-over-end crash), but it's possible to win some races on the Le Mans track--it leaves everything on the straights.

Another car I've tuned is the Ford Ka. You can swap out it's engine for a Focus engine, give it a 4WD drive, and it's a little rocket. I painted and vinyled mine to look like an old-school missile. On the front, reverse letters, "I have you in my sights." On the back "GOTCHA!" It's all fun.

A car that surprised me was the Time Attack Evo.

I was surprised at how god awful that PoS is lol.

What time is it meant to attack? The longest time spent understeering?

A car that surprised me in the opposite way is the Fiat 500. In FM3 I literally dominated with my build to B class in career when using it. So far I have had nothing but troubles in FM4 with it. Maybe I built it wrong, maybe I messed up the tune... I just don't know, but I'm having troubles competing with the AI!

One car that surprised me (in a good way) was the Kia Cee'd. A buddy of mine is a Kia mechanic, and of course, he wanted to do one out. Dropping in a Forte motor, a few speed parts (the big ones being a supercharger and race tranny, but mostly just street parts), and it turns into a very competent D-Class hatchback.

Definately my VW Corrado VR6 with 4WD conversion in B class, first car ive made handle properly, still needs a little tweak on the toe-out but its great otherwise, sticks like s*** to a blanket in the corners, a tiny bit slower than the AI in a straight line but

Another car I cant help but enjoy driving is my Abarth 131 as a E class car.....so much fun on Fujimi Kaido, it handles like a classic rally car (sideways) and responds well to direction changes

I used to think that in FM3 but I'm cleaning up in Rivals mode where that's the default car! Of course, it figures that it's now a unicorn and I don't have it...

Either one of you have one you'd like to unload? :sly:
