Im compiling this list for my use. u can look at it if you wish, and even add some of your own, but DO NOT repeat cars that have already been posted. and keep em under 35k.

These arent necessarily cars i would definately want to own, just cars i would consider owning. they are all under 35k. most are in the higher trim levels, and thus more expensive then the bare bones models.

thanks for those contributions. i was bored today, and i started thinking of cars that i could actually afford one day. there are some pretty slick cars for under 35k.

Yep. As of now, the most expensive Mazda is the Millenia, the top one is about 26K...220HP Supercharge V6, but it's obsolete now that the 6 is coming...

Dodge Stealth R/T 5-Speed. Hehe, I know its under 35K, but also under 10-15k.

Either the Stealth or the 3000GT depending on if you want Japanese or American.

I personally like a brand new 2003 Mitsu Eclipse Spyder.

If you want new I really can't help to much but for used I can.

I agree. I see the Mazda6 as a saviour for a company with an image problem (or at least it had an image problem a year or two ago) but also as a redefinition of an image problem. Why must they replace two sedans at once? It's nearly a mistake.

Of course, it's not like the large Japanese sedan has ever sold well in America.

M5, they never had an image problem, they simply changed it starting in '98 with all of the cars really. Mazda seems to be constently evolving in the right direction. And the 6 is a combination of the Millenia and the 626. The S has the power of the Millenia with the size of the 626. It's actually a great idea since in recent years both cars haven't sold well...

Well, in the early nineties, Mazda was a bit of a stodgy company that seriously needed re-inventing. The Millenia and 626 were both pretty crappy compared with the standards at the time, and the MPV was so anti-mainstream that hardly anyone considered it.

A couple years ago when Miata sales took off, a lot of things happened right for Mazda and the 'sporty' image came soon after.

I think anyone would agree the 626 isn't selling because it isn't up with current competition, or that it hasn't been in the past giving it a poor image (though the requirement for premium fuel  is no help for it). I still believe that Mazda completely has the power to become the next huge Japanese company (Honda, Toyota), however it needs more range (Toyota, for example, has like six SUV's not counting Lexus's three), and I'm not sure Ford will let it take that range.

I wish I had made this three posts since the site is close to 300,000 'official' posts.

Well, the MPV from 1989 through 1997 was a great van, we have had 2(89 V6 that was totalled thanks to a red light running delivery van, and a flawless '92 V6 that looks brand new)of em and they are great, they last forever. In Canada, they had the V6 with a 5 speed manuel...talk about cool since the US only had the I.4 with the manuel. I actually like the look of the MPV over most of the mini vans of that time. The Quest/Villager has this cheapo look to it, and is the same on the inside(cause my uncle has one). The Previa looks like a pill bug, rolly polly or what ever you want to call it. The Odessy was ok. But I still see the MPV as the top of the time.

That would be good about the SUVs, but I doubt that Ford would let them do that for fear that they would outsell thier own SUVs.

I agree - frankly, I loved the MPV when it had all-wheel drive and four standard-opening doors, but the mainstream at the time was the Caravan and Voyager. No Japanese minivans made a nickel during that period (remember the Previa? Crap that was ugly).

Speaking of the Odyssey, I consider the worst move in automotive history (yes, all of it) the day Isuzu decided to stop making a version of the Odyssey ('Oasis') due to low sales. Nowadays, most critics consider the Odyssey the best minivan for sale. If only Isuzu had stuck with it for two more years, they could share the wealth....

Hyundai Tiburon GT (top trim level) $19,997
V6 2.7L Six Speed Manual 181HP

I cant say that i am a fan of hyundai, and i think their quality is questionable, but i do find this car interesting. especially the price.
