I searched for a thread like this and couldnt find one so i decided to start one. What I want this thread to be is somewhere for us to show everyone what cars we have owned and driven in the past and what we are presently driving. Try and post the pics in the order that you owned the cars if you can remember and maybe a little bit of a story about the car if you want aswell. I'll get it started.

Gemini by commodoreben, on Flickr
One of these was my first car. Its a 1984 Holden Gemini. This isnt my pic, I cant find any of the pics I had taken of my first few cars. It cost me $650 and a further $500 to get the car roadworthy. It had a 5 speed gearbox, extractors and a straight through exhaust. It also had tyres that were really wide for the car.

Colt Sedan by commodoreben, on Flickr
I sold the Gemini to save for a Commodore in the mean time I drove one of these for a few weeks until I found the Commodore I wanted. Its a late 80's Mitsubishi Colt sedan. My dad and I brought a pair of these for $150 and I drove the one that ran while we wrecked the other one and sold the parts. We ended up selling it for $1500.

VN Berlina by commodoreben, on Flickr
My First Commodore. It was a VN Berlina with a 3.8 V6, power windows, power mirrors and tinted windows but it had an auto gearbox. I nearly killed this car. I was always doing burnouts in it. I used to tell my friends if they brought the tyres Id do the burnouts. In the end when I sold it the engine and gearbox were making weird noises and had next to no brakes.

Colt Hatch by commodoreben, on Flickr
I then got one of these. A 1988 Mitsubishi Colt Hatchback. This car was brought of the side off a highway with a blown motor. Dad and I rebuilt one and I drove it for a couple of years while I saved for a much better car. Im amazed I didnt kill this car. I never used to slow down for speed bumps, Id hit them doing 60km/h. One time the clutch cable snapped and I kicked the car and ended up kicking the quarter panel in just like the one in the picture. By the time dad and I wrecked this car the speedo didnt work the bonnet catch didnt work the rear hatch wouldnt stay up and I had to wind down the drivers side window and open the door from the outside. When we junked the car we pulled the motor out as it was the only decent thing in the car and sent the rest to scrap.

Magna by commodoreben, on Flickr
After that Colt was my first "good" car. It was a 2003 Mitsubishi TL Magna. While it was a good car with power windows and a trip-tronic auto matic gearbox it was a boring car. I ened up selling it to fund a holiday to America and help get my next car on the road.

This is my current car. Its a 1996 VS BT1 Holden Commodore Wagon. My grandpa brought this car from the Victorian Police Department where it was the forensics car. He had it for a few years when he then sold it to my Auntie. Sadly my Auntie was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years after and she wouldnt recover. Just before she left us she signed the car back over to my grandpa. When my family were down for the funereral my grandpa told my dad and I we could have the car at no cost all we had to do was get it home. It cost us $750 to get it home as it was nearly 2000kms away but it had sentimental value. Since I have had the car dad and I have converted it to a manual gearbox, added a sports exhaust with extractors, 18inch wheels, new window tint (the old tint was badly scratched) had it resprayed but with a purple pearl finish to the white paint and the last thing I did to it was install a set of Dukes Of Hazzard airhorns with the horns hidden behind the front bumper. Ill probably never sell this car. My next thing for it is either a new interior or a new motor. I look forward to seeing all your cars and reading your stories.
