Don´t vote in your own shot, or you will be disqualified

Yeah, mine cowers in comparison to the others.

I just voted for the one I thought looked coolest.

hm ...?

please look at the second to last picture in this poll and look at picture third from last picture in this poll: artistic comp

I knew I saw that in two comps! I couldn't find the other one though(the artistic comp one). Does that mean that one or both shots get DQ'd

Unless it says in the rules that shots can't be used in two comps, I'd say neither, although I do think it should be a rule.

well, in the artistic comp rules it says "that the shot you use can't be in another competition." But in tapetape's original final entry post for this one he clearly said that he used that shot in two comps in the same week. So......The rules for this comp don't say anything about using a shot that was (OR IS) already used, but it does say that you can't in the artistic comp. Who makes that call on it? personally I don't care, leave both shots in.

Alrighty then, I hadn't checked those rules actually. Yeah I'd say disqualify it from the Artistic comp only.

It may very well be. I've never done it before. Still, a disqualification from the artistic comp is necessary. As for CCCL, I think that's up to NTX, and a possible rule change afterward.

I think that the shot in question, should not be DQ in either comp. He posted his entry for the Artistic Comp. Jan 21 2008, 12:05 PM, and his entry in this Comp. was Jan 25 2008, 11:37 AM.

This competition did not mention anything about entering a previous Competition Entry.
He entered the Artistic Comp, with a shot that had not been previously used in a competition, at that time anyway. He entered this competition four days later. So he didn't break any rules, in either competition. Anyway, his shot is nothing special, when compared to the quality of the entries in the Artistic Comp.

I understand the point-of-view for DQing the entry, but there should not be any 'un-written' rules in these comps.

I was aware of the use of the shot in both competitions before both polls had been posted.

Why didn’t I DQ it from the Artistic?

It is what Grump. said.

The entry was posted in the Artistic Competition at the 21st. January, and then it was posted in the CCCL 4 days after. The rules in the artistic says that the it can’t be submitted a shot already submitted in another comp. (which wasn’t violated) and the CCCL doesn’t have any rule about it, so there is no point in DQ it because, there isn’t any transgression to any rule.

The rule should be not to use it any shot in more than one competition. Is that possible to change?

This competition doesn´t mention that rule (thats why I didn´t say anything about it), so the entry is fine, it will be not disqualified 👍

I think it has no point. If both competitions run in the same week, I think there isn’t a problem. What I see a problem is a person re-submit a shot that had a good result in a post competition or past poll.

But, if NTX had posted the poll earlier than me, I wouldn’t put that shot in the Artistic Poll, because it was being used at another competition and although he did submit the shot earlier in the Artistic than the CCCL, it is the poll that counts (at least, in my opinion).

And why do I think that it is the poll that counts, you ask me?
Because, you submit a shot to be voted by public in a public poll, if the shot is already in a competition poll it was or is already in use. (I don’t think I can get myself understand, but I think you kindly get the point).

But I really don't think that the rule should be changed.

I just feel that if you want to be eligible to win more than one competition, you should put extra work into another shot. It's like when you enter something with some kind of code form a bottle cap or something. Whether or not you win, you can't try the same code again and expect another shot at winning. You have to buy another coke.

Or enter codes in randomly, sooner or later you'll get one. (Sorry kinda off topic)

Sorry about the complication over the dupe shot I had posted a message in the artistic comp asking if it was allowed to have the same shot in 2 comps and if it wasn't to not put my image up in the artistic comp.

Edit

Oh it looks like I decided not to post that it was here too... not sure why.

I'll accept disqualification if necessary.

mine went for the one thats winning.. its silver, and it has a nice angle..

i would've voted for the 1st one but I didn't like the angle as it was a basic angle.. I did like how they incorporated the BMW to it , but a more dynamic angle would've got my vote.

My vote went to the 7th one, I love the angle, the colour, looks like it would look good in a magazine advert :D

I knew you'd win TW! Told you I should be scared. I came in second though so, Im pretty happy. congrats!!👍👍👍

Thanks for the votes guys, I was really happy with how that shot came out.

Better start thinking of my car/track combo. 👍
